Thread: And there I was....

Standing in the middle of Yavin IV after tracking my mark. Started shooting up, drinking and shoving food down my throat, getting ready to kill the 34k gold boos mark standing 48 meters from the sight of my rifle. I open with a crit shot, followed by an underhand, and another crit to get the upper hand, and the fight ensues. This fight is coming right down to the last hit, I'm popping stims, cranking ruby to stay in. Then it happens. My wife comes into the office and starts yapping her jaws. My concentration breaks, and I miss my last stim opportunity by 2 seconds. Got db'd. Wake up in the cloner, while staring my wife down, when a system message pops up. Mission Complete! Nooooo...........So now I have no waypoint to go back to, just to try and see if maybe the corpse hasn't vanished yet, but I go anyway, with no luck....
Let this be a lesson guys, if your wifes wont shut up, grab the headphones.

Hey mate no the feeling 
The misses the other day shouted up to me while I was in middle of important
pvp battle to help her and guess what
I got my ass kicked :-/ same situation.
The only thing is with headphones
The wife may sneak up on you while in battle again and give you the fright of you life lol
then again you lose

Well my wife did this too but there was a caveat.....I had just killed my mark but was being agroed by some crap when I accidentally had used spray shot during the fight. I was attempting to loot the corpse when my wife came in and started yammering for me to get off the computer. As I was attempting to loot and fight back I saw that the corpse hat a CA on him. I had clicked on it and all I saw was Carbine Defense +20 and something else. (didn't have time to see all of it)
The corpse disappeared before I could pick it up : ( ......And all because I was getting yelled at and having my attention diverted.
Moral of this story I guess is to just loot all and check later AND wear headphones!

Man, that was 3 weeks ago and it is still an open wound! I have never been so mad at a game and when it WAS my fault. If my monitor had been a CRT instead of an LCD, I would have put my fist through the screen.

In a related note...
Dont go for a pee pee break when looking for krayts on yer barc....
Krayts spawn in the funniest places
thankfully this happened to me when the barcs could be fixed for free...
was funny tho

Different ways to avoid this entire scenario...
1) Lock the door and set earphones to full volume. (Recomend those huge 80s style ones that totaly cover the ears)
2) Get her hooked on EQ
3) Stay single and eat pizza and Chinese Take Out for the rest of your natural born days.

Luckily mine plays with me....
As far as the other stuff goes... sorry guys... been married before... Go speed some time with your wife... make her happy, and maybe you wont get distracted... /shrug

Trust me, I don't neglect my wife. Problem with my wife is, once she starts talking.....
