Not only can they cloak in combat, they can also jump in their starship while in combat and be cloaked and leave the planet. You can eat, drink, fly, fight, mount dismount anything, .. make eggs, pancakes ect ect while cloaked.
You can use a starship terminal but you can't use a ticket droid, while cloaked.

Something im curious about but havent tried yet, maybe if someone gets a chance first they can let us know. A buddy of mine was cloaked, and i was able to target him with '/target *name*'. This work while in combat? Can you still use attacks? Anyway, i plan on testing this, but if anyone finds out pls reply. Could be as simple as creating a /target macro with the bounties name to get around it.
You get the 'Invalid Target' message.
Cloak is more like a side-show attraction for Jedi. It has it's uses, but overall it's not worth the skill points if you want to be a better PvP Jedi.

For some reason, Jedi feel they should have an 'I win' button for any encounter. Id love to hear your reasoning for that.
If force cloak is an I win button then why have the vast majority of Jedi not opted to take it?
Besides from the 2nd any jedi gets on the boards they know its only a matter of time before someonekills them. Then again point out any one year vet of the game who is not a clone.
Everyone of us gets killed over and over in game.
I just think force cloak is a bit ... lame. How about considering that a Jedi can be cloaked TO a person even though they didn't sense that person was there? I remember a lot of Star Wars games where you had to see the people before you could cloak, so at least there'd be a moment where they might see you are there.
More importantly, my droids are still able to track the Jedi, so I know where the Jedi is. Why can't I just use my datapad in conjunction with my droids to locate the exact location of the Jedi, and fire at shot at them? If I were a bounty hunter, I wouldn't stop just because I couldn't see a Jedi, they're Jedi - we expect them to be invisible or use all manner of weird "magic" to avoid us. I'd whip out mly nightvision goggles and motion sensorsto track the mark down.
EDIT - Or infrared goggles, even.
I should also add how great it was when all those thousands of Jedi cloaked in the movies. It was especially cool that you never saw them, because they were invisible on the screen...

Continuity arguments will not help you. No BH ever hunted a Jedi in any of the movies.

Does he need help? I think you missed the entire point of his post, the quote is just an addition to his statement. And as far as BH hunting Jedi, its because there werent any. If there were the 1134341545 Jedi hangin out at the center of Theed in the movies, im sure you would have seen some.

Just wondering, are jedi suppose to be able to force cloak during combat?
