Okay, on my server, many Jedi still grind on Dantooine. My guess is because the BHs on my server just LOVE to check out the Ryatt trail on an hourly basis. At any rate, I found a new favorite past time:

Go to your servers most popular grinding planet, and simply "ride around". Once you start to see the lightsabers flying, simply hop off, and run up to the group, from here you can use a couple of methods:

1) Target the NPC creatures they are grinding, start shooting and charge the group shouting things like "Die Jedi, Die".

2) Calmly walk up to the group, about 70m out, and shout, "Who wants to dance?".

I did this last night twice and had a BLAST! The first group looked like a full group of 8, with, I think, about 5 Jedi in the group....I wnet charging up a hill (shooting at a damn Bol mind you) shouting "Die Jedi, Die.....man...it looked like a bunch of cockroaches when you turn the lights on....or better yet, I felt like Immigration asking for "green cards" at Walmart. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, ran to a speeder, it was hiliarious! They all packed into about 5 speeders, and they were GONE! I so wish I would have had FRAPS running or taken screenshots. I can't believe I forgot the screenshots....I was just laughing too hard.

The second time I did this, most of them did go running, for a bit, they went out about 500m turned around, got up real close to me, hop out of the speeder, checked me using the "duel" method, and went back to grinding. It was STILL funny, but I think it would have been better if it hadn't followed the first one. That was a tough act to follow.

At any rate, I got this idea for two reasons. First off, I was bored. The second reason was becuase I started to notice that Jedi bounties UNDER 120K now outnumber the 220s by about 3 to 1. It made me think of the old saying, "Do you know there are more students currently in law school, then there are lawyers". Good job SOE..../pep for double XP week. Next time, just call it "Free Jedi week".

I think you and I had the exact same idea! I was just thinking about this the other day and if it would work or not. I guess you proved that the "Run in and watch them scurry off" idea does work!

Better yet just pull out a regular MSE droid at a Starport and just have it follow random Jedi. I love doing that while I am waiting for friends. Name it "Toaster of Death" for that extra bit of flavor.

I gotta give you extra credit for the name of the droid. That's amazing.

I can't take credit for the name. I have heard the MSE bomb droids affectionaly called that for as long as I can remember. I don't know who coined the phrase but whoever did should have copyrighted it.

That's kind of a funny story, although I suspect the Jedi didn't think so. Kudos for finding such a funny trick.

Yeah that is actually really funny

I have been a bounty hunter for 5-6 months now and have the MBH tag. Jedi tend to avoid getting too close when I have it up. (Gotta love that).

Oh man I gotta try this lol. I got a couple of old pre CU bomb droids that now do about 3 damage but I have notgot around to destroying them yet.

I am glad that they still have a useful purpose, must remember to pick them up from my house

I've done the MSE droid thing before, funny stuff. Make the droid follow the Jedi and begin to spam "does anybody know how to set off a bomb droid"

I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but come on! Is the word griefing sitting in your quick draw holster with a hair trigger? This if anything was a harmless prank. Nobody lost exp and the time wasted could only have been 5 minutes max. Lighten up! It's a game. If somebody legitimately "griefs" (god I hate that pansy @ss word), do something about it. But don't go looking for reasons to throw that word around. It is used so often now that most players (and most dev's I suspect)tune it out now.

I know nobody likes to look foolish, but quit being so serious for a little while. If it happenned to you, just go "Damn, he got me lol" and roll with the joke. If it happens 17 times an hour, report it, but until it becomes the huge issue you seem to want it to be, write the word griefing down on a little scrap of paper and put it in your pocket. Leave it there until something that really is griefing comes along. Then break it out.
