I'm not sure if there is an answer to this anywhere else, but in game, I just recently acquired Advanced Combat Med Crating. Now, I was looking forward to making some area stim A's and some ranged stim C's. I have the draft schematic located in my datapad, and I know what is required to make. I have the proper crafting tool, and I'm standing by the appropriate crafting station.

Yet when I open my crafting tool, I cannot find either of these two in the list of crafting items. Now someone in game told me they got nerfed...but I don't remember hearing anything about that. Is that true? Or am I just having a problem occurring only to me?

Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

I dont craft my own meds but with my limited crafting experience with Master Artisan, my best guess would be....

...use a food and chemical crafting tool near a food and chemical crafting station.

You using a public crafting station? You need to use a private crafting station to craft these type of stims

Ah thank you. That is exactly what I was doing...I didn't know you needed to be by a private one. Heh, learn something new everyday

Thanks again.

Ok heres my story:

I mastered Marksmen, Scout and Creature Handler before I opened any holos. When we got them for X-Mas I opened one and it said Combat Medic. I decided not to do it at the time, and instead Mastered Tailor, artisan, Merchant, Squad Leader, Entertainer and Dancer. Recently I happened apon a holo and used it. It was silent. So I figured my silent profession was combat medic, right? I completed it over the weekend and when I got trained as master no unlock. I'm extremely upset, since I was almost 100% positive that cm would unlock it for me.Is there some new rule that holos don't work the same after so many master proffessions or some other problem? Or did the DEVs stealth nerf unlocking? All I know is that this really pissed me off as I've wanted jedi since launch.

Any help would be great, thanks...

No theres nothing wrong. Ive seen a few posts about this exact same thing happening. Its random keep grinding. Why would you not master cm and move on to all those others? Its random keep grinding

There was a theory put forth by someone on this board several months ago (wish I could remember his handle) that said that the game selects N professions for you when you create a character. N is a large number call it 10 or 12 or something of that nature. When you master one of the N professions, the gameremoves a few from the list. When you master another the list shrinks again. To open the FSCS he proposed that we need to master 5 (or possibly more) of these selected professions. Once we have mastered 4 of the selected professions the list of unlocking professions shrinks to 1.

The holocrons fit in to the picture as and aid. They tell one of the preselected professions, so long as you haven't already mastered 4. They won't tell you the last one. I believe your problem is that it told you CM and you went off and mastered several of the ones required to unlock without the aid of the holocron. During that time the game removed professions from your list, one of which was CM. So now coming back and mastering CM does not unlock.

I know this is about as clear as mud, and it's pure speculation. But the guy who did the study based his data on TONs of unlock patterns, and he ran simulations that suggested that there are more than5 professions that are selected at the start of a character, and that this list is narrowed as the player masters them.

Anyway, at this point you are in the same boat as everyone else. It's random and all you can do is attack the list you have left with some kind of strategy. Either master them all in a pattern that does not require remastery, or master all the easy ones first and then go back and master the hard ones later.

Good luck to you,

Yes, it is a known bug and you will generate visibility for it happening. I've heard about the robe, but I have not heard about someone else seeing your saber still equipped. In any case, my suggestion is don't wear the robe at all when grinding. At least for me, the benefits gained just aren't worth it, so I grind in BE melee defense clothing. Then you won't have to worry about this happening again.

This is a known bug.

There are a coulpe of work-arounds for it posted somewhere on here. Being a Knight, it's not something I worry about that much, otherwise I'd probably have the link handy...

I posted a workaround to this in another thread... but here's the quick version of it:

1) ALWAYS get off your speeder before changing your clothes (robe/regular) and weapon around

2) ALWAYS come to a complete stop before getting off and changing clothes/weapon

3) REMOVE your old clothes first, and then put the robe on to your naked body.

4) UNEQUIP your old weaopn before equipping your lightsaber

5) NEVER change clothes during a fight

If you follow those steps you shouldn't have any more problems. I'd say the major one here is changing clothes while on a speeder. That's the surest way to get them "stuck".

Hope this helps.
