Thread: I for one dont think i did anything wrong...

So, my target is on talus. i do the normal track and everything to see that my target is on talus in his player city and dueling some one from his guild. comepletely out of character, i wait for him to finish his duel AND get all of his force back (he did the meditate thing that jedi do and then stopped a while after". so im covered up about 90 meters away from him, and he starts moving towards me. assured he didnt see me on the radar, i open fire when he is in range. he healed before i was able to finish the Sniper Shot, KD, advanced critcal combo, so i actually had to fight him for a few seconds (30 at the most). after i DB him and get my cash, he sends me a tell saying that it wasnt a fair fight. usually i laugh and ignore such comments, but then his guild that were watching got into it saying that it was fair either. even a few people from MY guild said that i should have fought farely. so, next time i'll just say: "exuse me Mr. Jedi Knight sir, but i was just letting you know that you are my mark and i was wondering if you needed time to buff. meanwhile, i will gladly wait patiently admiring the scenery of your beautiful player city!" I dont think i was wrong. i could have went in a DBed him while he was incapped, but i didnt. so back me up here, what do you think?

Did you exploit? I would bet not. Jedi always tell you that you should try to surprise them and use tactics. That is what you did here. If your guild has a problem with it, leave. What ever server you are on, look for a guild that is mostly BH that hunt Jedi. Stick with them. Learn from them. Teach them. Become friends and this type of story is something to laugh at while BSing on TS.

LOL. You need to leave your guild if its members think like that.

Before the really evil MBH post...(you know who you are). You fought a fair and nobel fight, you seized a moment when the jedi was not weak but a challange that could have gone either way. You sir fought with honor, it was his fault for losing not yours.
Im will be one of the evil ones now....MUhahahahahaha
Dude you should have put a cap in his a@@ when he was down and stated to /walk away to make it look like you were counting the money....you must take every opportunity to take advantage of your prey...remember they are nothing but meat, treat them like it.

You fought, you won, he died..end of story. Tell your so called guild mates tostuff their thoughtsand find a new guild. I run a BH guild on the Chilastra server and teach them "by any means....."

You gave him more of a chance to recover for a "fair" fight than I would have, i would have deathblowed the Jedi when he incapped in his duel.....
You are a Bounty Hunter, you have first strike for a reason. Jedi are stronger than you, alot stronger. Allowing a Jedi to recover and buff is foolish. Your job is to eliminate the mark and collect your bounty. There are no rules of engagement. If you were a Real Life BH going after a mark would you say "Hey bud, i gotta haul ya in for jumping bail, i'll give ya a 5 min head start" you honestly think you would do very well? There is no dishonor in what you did, it isnt a duel. Duels have rules of engagement, bounty hunting has NONE. The only rule you have is to not exploit and to kill your mark inany way you can.

I will preface this by saying, you offered more than an honorable fight.
I will conclude by saying...you should have taken him out when he was down from dueling. This was a BH mark, not a friendly duel. Both his and your guild are out of line giving you any crap.

I think im having an issue with this whole "fair" thing. its a BOUNTY not a duel. what do they want us to do? i certainly dont want to be known as an honorable BH by getting his butt kicked by MLS/ Def jedi because he kindly waited for them to regain force and buff. and as for the guild, it was only a few people that really didnt know what they were talking about. the leader said that i should have went in and DBed him when he was incapped the first time

The only thing you did wrong is give him the chance to recover after the duel. Kill your mark with any means at your disposal. His being incapped in a duel is not your fault. DB, get paid and move on to the next mark.

Dude, I'll tell you that you did more than most bh's would. Exact same thing happened to me. After the BH revamp not to long ago i was dueling a guildie in our city (im finished temp so i had been used to not being hunted) and i lost. While incapped a BH rolls up db's and takes off. I was pretty pissed, but i knew that it was my own stupididty that got me killed. The fact that you let him regen his force before you opened fire shows that you're an honorable bh. My moto as a jedi: "when in public EXPECT to be shot at" This moto has since served me well as i have not lost to a bh since. (even the FOTM MCM's)

LOL.. yeah, I remember one Jedi Target I hunted.. I found him grinding so I attacked at 1/2 health.. anyway, he saberthrew me an KD and I had the "you cannot kd recovery while knocked down" (and this was first hit so I had pretty much full action). Anyway, long story short, he killed me, I didnt complain, no point I thought, then as I was leaving I got hate tells calling me all sorts of names for trying to take him while he was grinding. I was told in no uncertain terms that I should have either waited untill he was full template or just asked for a friendly no DB duel. Wooot?
