Bounty Hunter Jedi missions (1) no longer list Jedi names and (2) prevent you from determining Jedi’s level via mission payout
once again melee-ers get screwed
totally ruins a lot of peoples templates
I hope they don't do this

I know I'm one of the few out there who actually enjoys being a melee bounty hunter. It may not be quite as effective as ranged, but for me it's much more fun. I've always enjoyed standing toe to toe with a Jedi, defeating him, and collecting my cash. With the healing boosts in publish 19, I found myself defeating many finished template knights. I could hardly begin to describe how fun it was for me to do that.
Now, with the player bounties moved up to the MBH box, it is no longer possible to be a melee BH...at least not an efficient one. Sure I could do MBH/Fencer, but that means I'd have to rely on stims only for heals. Standing toe to toe with a Jedi only relying on stims isn't really a possibility.This change is effectively ruining my template and the playstyle I've grown to love.
Hiss, please ask them to consider moving player bounties up to Investigation IV. Moving it up to MBH ruins so many player's templates, especially us who enjoy being melee bounty hunters. If this change does go through, it'd be nice if we got a respec...but I seriously doubt we will.
Please Devs, reconsider this decision. If you're going to move player bounties, move it up a box to Investigation IV. MBH as a requirement to hunt players is just harsh...
what is you melee bh template, i am tempted to go melee bh with a alt

Well said .. this master bh thing is a show stopper. Along with the terminal changes - BH vs Jedi content will die - the best content in the game!!

What I have found to be a must for a melee BH is the 4000 line of CM. You can fit that in with 4000 BH, a master melee profession, and one more line of your choosing. I went for the DoT line but some may like one of the debuffs line better. I've always loved Fencer and will never drop it since I'm capped on one hand melee accuracy, one hand melee speed, and one hand melee defense. On top of that, I'm capped on general melee accuracy and many other defensive stats.
Some may argue that a Swords BH would be more efficient. That may be so with the armor break and critical abilities, but I just really like finishing off a Jedi with the scatter animation.
Pike might also be nice for the warcry and intimidate skills. TKM is definitely not the way to go anymore for a melee BH. There aren't enough damaging moves for it to stand on it's own anymore. You need to mix TKM with another melee prof now to make it efficient. If you wanted to do that with BH, you couldn't get the CM stuff. I tried a little bit of swords with my template at first for the armor break and critical moves. I could hit them very hard very quick, but once my drink stomach was full from ruby bliel, I was pretty much SOL. If you want to be a melee BH, I highly recommend the CM healing line.
If I were you, I wouldn't get into it just yet until they let us know if this change will be going through or not. I really hope it doesn't...

There should be modifiers to enhance Pistoleer, Carbineers, Rifleman, Commandos, Combatmedics, Swordman, TeraKasi Artists, Fencers and Pikemen. I heard they were considering doing this a couple months before the CU came out...anyone know what ever came of those ideas?
Even if they did do that, the MBH requirement is still a game breaker for a melee BH. Not being able to fit in any healing skills makes it virtually impossible to stand toe to toe with a Jedi. ![]()
