OMG! This just in! Maybe an exploit but, you can pay you on-line subscription with ingame credits. They currently conver 300:1.
I hope we can soon buy the PRE-CU resources with ingame credits. Finally, the Jedi can have their pearls back!

SOE is trying to combat all the on-line selling of credits and disband all the credit farmers. By allowing actual monetary value to in game credits, SOE is encouraging the honest player that is actually making an investment in the game.
It is a SOE attempt to reward the "At the Keyboard" player. I do not expect this to last very long, for some exploiter will find a way to destroy this system as well.
I applaud SOE's efforts to take care of it's legitimate customers.
I had gotten atacked by NPC with gold chevrons and 36k hitpoints. It would not attack anyone else. It spawned near me while hunting Gorax.
I honestly hope this is intended and was not a random case where a BH mark had picked up on me while waiting for it's Player to claim their mission.
IF this is legit I'm going to be VERY VERY VERY happy with how the game is evolving....
