Thread: Hypocritical Jedi

So last night I'm out hunting Jeds. I fly out to Lok, and track my mark. I get within about 150m and lay on cover and start to move in. Unfortunatley a swarm of Gurks spawn 15m away and break my cover. Well, the Jedi and his group spot me and rush over. A couple Jedi use the /duel exploit as does my mark. He says, "I know you've got my mission. I tried to duel you."

No kidding?

So I tell them that I'm not going to attack and that I'll come back later. I've lost my first strike. I hop on my Barc and say, "Good hunting," trying to be a polite BH. But then the entire group starts labeling me a pu$$y because I won't attack head on. Even low level toons were saying, "Just attack you wuss." I told them that if they wanted to sit here and tell me to attack, all the while the jedi's vis is going up, then it was fine with me. I was going to leave.

Then they say they will report ME!!! Wth, what have I done? I offered to leave!

So after a few more minutes of calling me various names, I say, "Listen, if a BH whines about not being able to kill Jedi, he is countered by Jedi saying 'Don't attack guns-a-blazin or when the Jedi is ready, use tactics.'"

All of a sudden the group got silent until one guy said, "Good point." More silence followed by, "Ok, well, we'll see ya later."

After that, no hate tells. Do jedi even realize how hypocritical they can be?

Many don't which is why I hate the class as a whole (not the people that play it).

I will run up to jedi on purpose just for this reason.

I do this all the time... except i donot leave.

Who cares what group says... really

I will wait at 50 meters for jedi while he runs all his force macro.. for as long as i want.

The groups will say you are preventing grinding.. this is bs they can still grind so can the jedi... they are choosing not to.

Nothing we are doing is preventing their game play and watching a player is not a hurassment.... If the Jedi did not exploit he/she would have no conformation you even had his/her mission.

If jedi are going to exploit the duel endduel... why let it be effective.

Wait for hours ( I will start to grind the lairs too while I wait)... the jedi will waste food and force waiting for you to attack... then when you are ready... eat your food and attack.

I really don't understand some Jedi, or I should say the people that play them. Yesterday I jumped a Jedi that was riding by on his swoop. I managed to cut him off perfectly. Destroyed his swoop and laid him on his back. I started racking up damage when he got up with a sliver of health. Then he Cloak'd and was gone. I immediately dropped the mission and left. I am not playing Cloak games with Jedi.

Anyway, he sends me tells about how I need to respect swoops and this and that. Respect a swoop?? Still don't get that one. I informed him that it is a valid tactic to disable any means a jedi has to escape. He then told me to get some friends (not sure what that meant either), to which I replied he is the one traveling in a pack, I am the solo BH. After that I asked him why a 15K swoop upset him so much when he obviously had enough cash to outfit his Jedi to which he laughed at me and said he gets swoops for free from a friend. He then laughed at me for having to pay for swoops. All this while I was on my BARC.

I just stopped responding after that. I have no idea what that kid was thinking or his reasoning. Sometimes you just don't ask questions.

Yup and what's sad is that I know some Jedi do this too to intentinoally try and give other Jedi that's grinding some visibility, Jedi within their own community is more of an enemy amongst themselves than we are.

Re:Trashtalking Jedi

Yes it happens on both sides. I love when it happens. Means you did something to really annoy them. You did well. Don't fall for the bait of them egging you on to the point of engaging in combat under THEIR TERMS.

What probably happened soon after you rode off, the Jedi was watching his radar like a paranoid hawk when he was engaged with something,

i have met BHs that feels like that ought to WIN a fight with a jedi, because after all, its their Mission! And when they fail they start ranting too. About haxx, cheat, im gonna report you is all too common. Even if the Jedi is courteous.

You have to live with it. Just as we the jedi have to live with such BHs. However, you choose to go after the Jedi, while we dont have a choice practically to avoid BHs. Unless you hide in your home and dont play the game at all.

The game is not perfect. I wish we could get away from all this namecalling and threats on both sides, but the world have never been perfect. And with lots of kids around. On both sides. what do you expect??

I understand and expect namecalling and hate /tells while hunting. Thats not what gets me. What gets me is the fact that Jedi preach about using "tactics" to secure a mark, not going in guns a blazing. They say wait it out, instead of rushing it. So I choose to wait and use tactics, and in the process, give them freedom to grind.

When I said "I'll leave you to your grinding," that was when the trash talking started. I was obviously not being a sneaky or dirty hunter at that point. Sure, they might have to be more aware of my presence, but it's not something that trash talking and namecalling would cure.

Not everyone reads the boards. Secondly the comments you speak about are brought up by many jedi, that is until, they themselves are marks in which case they turn face real fast.

Bottomline, don't letany trashtalking as you say, "Get toyou" ....

I know. But with so many BHs and with so many jedi around. What you expect? BHs are not popular at all! Because they are commonly viewed at greifers. They are Bhs only to cause XP loss to the Jedi. They are BHs only to be Population control. Being a Bh is more and more risky business. You risk loosing friends too. My guild hav thrown out BHs because they hunted other Imperials in a different guild, and that player had difficulties getting into another large Imperial guild after that. because cities and guilds are about friendship. working together etc. And when someone breaks it and cause problems, they are thrown out.

Im not saying that what you endured is good. ofcource its not!! But you have to live with it. Put them on ignore, or if they get too bad, report them! but besides that, im afraid you as a BH will have to live with it..

Yes, we choose to hunt jedi, just like you chose and still choose to be a jedi. Don't get me wrong, I have all the respect in the world for most jedi. Especially the ones that take the time to help me even thoI'm a BH. But the hunting of jedi wouldn't exist without people becomming jedi. You chose to go after your glow stick, which means you accepted the consequences of being hunted. Jedi may not have the choice to be hunted, but they did and still do have the choice of profession.
