That was his excuse for riding over Dathomir for thirty minutes refusing to fight me. He didn't want to waste his time fighting me.
Its starts out when I last a good time against a Jedi called DoomViper. I loose in the end, so I buy some foods and armor and go hunting Jedi again. this time I get a kill, and I am excited to get more. SO Today I get another mission- Dathomir is where the target is. I land, send out a tracker, and follow my mark to the NS stronghold.
And whatdoya know, its good ol DoomViper, but this time I come with a sliced and pupped proton carbine, full sliced RIS armor, and buffed up with four doc buffs and a good number of foods. I get into the stronghold, and I am shooting him. He isnt moving for a while, but then he does and he looses me in the maze. the hunt begins.
Across Dathomir we go- at first it is staying pretty even, till I risk a shot at his speder. however, in order to get off my speeder and shoot his, I need to store it or I will loose time targetuing him. So I take my chance- and the shot misses. I pull my speeder again, and off we go.
At one point my droid loses him, but then I pick him up on my radar again. We ride around some mroe, meanwhile exchanging tells which boil down to this
Doomviper:I dont want to waste my time fighting you
Me: Afraid you will loose?
Doomviper:I dont want to waste my time
Me: We have been riding around 20 minutes already
Doomviper: I only give Bhs one shot you had yours
Me: I can't choose your mission, its not liek I went looking for you.
Doomviper: You could have aborted mission
Me: I am not gonna ride out all the way tot he NS stronghold and not engage my mark.
Finally the guy rides into the Sp and launches before i can get a shot in. Then he logs out.
By now his gf is sending me tells pretty similar to Doomviper's. Then we get to a new point-
Doomviper girlfriend: He doesnt want to PVP
Me: The life of a Jedi is tough
Doomviper girlfriend: There is nothing else to do in this game but be Jedi
Me: I played a Ranger for eight months andhad plenty of fun
Doomviper girlfriend: But we like being a Jedi
Me: Than you choose to PVP
Doomviper girlfriend: But we dont want to
Me: Dotn show off your glowstick if you dotn want to be hunted
Doomviper girlfriend: I wish we could get missions on you and gank you
Me: I didn't gank him deary, I came alone.
At this point she stops responding, and figuring I have been ignored I log out. I can take some consolation in the fact that this Jedi wont be farming any uber loot any time soon, and i still have his mission, and he wasted a lot more time and didnt have any fun like I did. But these Jedi are really startign to annoy me with the I dont wanna PVP line- if they dont want to they dont have to. that means use a laser rifle if you dont have to use the saber.

That's pretty funny. He beats you once and realises you've come more prepared so suddenly... he doesn't want to fight you anymore. Classic. *****

Yeah jedi don't want to pvp until they are in theed, full template and all declared.Then they say "come fight me noob"

are you willing to duel ANYONE who challenges you, anywhere, regardless of what your doing? of course not, that would be stupid...its the same for Jedi, you can be as annoyed as you want to be, but there is nothing that says a Jedi must stick around and fight a BH....as the Jedi has nothing to gain, it does not reflect poorly on him, if a Jedi escapes you, it's no one's fault or problem but your own, your the only one who failed.

If he doesnt want to fight you and you are unable to prevent him from escaping, whats wrong with that? Jedi dont have to fight BHs, if they choose to run instead thats perfectly legal.

I think your missing the point...the point is he's a jedi..doing things that he knows will get him Vis...them he complains about being hunted because it will "waist his time" boo freakin hoo...dont get vis? dont get hunted. simple as pudding

well you can make him waste upto 3 days until he fights you to the death. Or he can go into space or to kashyyyk.

seems to me like running away saved xp loss.
You can't make any mistake that even though he got vis, it was his choice not to stay and fight.
BH's have forst strike and can hold the mark mission for a while. If the jedi ran, its part of the game.
Just like it is part of the game to be on the terms. So he got on the terms. Yeah, true. the jedi does have the option not to fight though.
If i may quote one of the many Bounty Hunters who speak to Jedi regarding being hunted:
"This is the profession you chose, deal with it"
and BTW there are many other marks out there. So ya lose (in a sense). Only thing you lost was some dinner and some time.
get the next mark and expect that some jedi will run.

the mark is a jedi.......it doesn't matter what his complaints are, you saying dont get vis, don't get hunted just makes it worse...I mean think about it...you take the mission, and he gets away...you taunt him, he says he doesnt want to waste his time, instead of you just accepting that, you say, if you dont wanna be hunted, don't get vis....well....the point actually is that he already got away....your telling him how not to be hunted when he has already demonstrated his ability to survive the hunt....so save your breath, instead of boofreakinhooing him, boofreakinghoo yourself because you didn't get your mark...better yet, if everyone stopped talking entirely during BH missions, the galaxies would be a better place.

another whaaaa from the jedi.... I WANNA BE UBER AGAINST ALL NPCS/CRITTERS because they are too predictible, but I don't want to fight real players cause I can't figure them out...WHAAAAAAA
I say all jedis like this be transported to that new planet in the expansion and get perma stuck on there with no star port or ship terminals. See how long they survive.

No Jedi has to stay and fight just because a BH has his mission. Its the BHs job to catch the Jedi and kill him, if the Jedi chooses to actually start a cat & mouse game then theres nothing wrong with it.

so you think the only reason is because....... they don't want to fight real players and can't figure them out?
is that the limit of your imagination?
most BH's say this......
you chose to PvP when you became jedi. (this is absolutely true, couldn't have said it better myself)
Stay off the terms (that is still a bit more difficult then some BH's realize, but we , or should i say, most of us try)
Those are true statements.
But I would tell you that there are times when running from a BH is a good choice.
I'll give you one example and you may not agree with it.
I was hunted by 6 Bounty hunters in a 24 hour period. Yes my fault for getting on the terms.. but here is the break down
1. lost
2. won
3. BH dropped mission
4. lost
5. won
6 RAN
I decided that it would be best for me to run on the last encounter. As much as I love PvP, I just didn't feel like regrinding if i lost at that time. I felt i had 3 options, which 2 of the three would be to my advantage.
1 lose
2. win
3 run (and save the xp loss)
its nothing about being whiney i don't think. I never cried for a nerf, nor will I ever. It's game mechanics. I have been beaten by an exploit or two but that is on the BH when they fix it.
I hope that gives you some perspective, at least from one Jedi's point of view.
