In order to continue reading this post with some perspective in mind, REMEMBER:

SWG has nothing to do with SW cannon and the movies. This game stands in its own Star Wars realm. Arguements of continuity are out of place here......with that in mind, my point:

Iposted a while back about the Bounty Hunter village

I gave it some thought, and what I was really suggesting was more than one elite profession in the game, other than Jedi. Another path to take, other than Jedi.

Some Jediwere really upset at the notion of their profession being equalized with another, and I gave this some thought too.

I think the negative Jedi response can be summed up with this idea:

"I've grinded an awfully long time to get here, and I deserve the extra powers I get in game. Jedi is the top becuase of the time I put in, and therefore, other professions should not be as powerful as the one I've worked so hard on"

Fair play I say. I totally agree. Jedi do deserve the power they get becuase of time and effort spent on their chosen profession (the proper Jedi I'm talking about, not the Ryatt trail afker's).

I've grown very attached to my character Iscariot. I have all the best armor, maxed out on AA's for all my attributes, all adk'ed,with the best weapons loot drops andmoney can buy.

I don't have Mando, which is a goal of mine, but in the grand scheme of things Mando is assult armor, and therefore, not as good against Jedi as Battle,or better yet, Recon armor.

Iwould like to take my character in a direction where I can make him elite, without having to be forced to become a Jedi.

I am more than willing to spend the time and effort it takes to become a Jedi on my Bounty Hunter chatacter, if I can make him an elite charcter as well. I too would like to be able to say.

"I've grinded an afully lomg time to get here, and I deserve the extra powers I get in game."

Why can't SOE step outside the Jedi bubble, and see that there is perhaps some merit in this idea?

SOE why are players being forced into one play style with regards to pursuingONE elite profession in the game?

I think its far too late for this, one elite prof is bad enough...

But sure we can spread out the nerfs between 2 or more professions if you like. Of course they're going to want some FRS variant and Eltie skils as well...

How about we worry about the Current issues w/ Jedi rather than trying to create more for a 2 year old game w/ exploding servers (literally, look at bria).

LOL if you calculate the time and effort the devs put into their work, a second Elite Profession woud spred out and slow the nerfs... and anyways, Jedi isnt really messed up, andI have heard all the excuses, so put a sock in it

Skwall, I totally understand and agree with what your saying here.....it's just that, when I begin thinking about the thinking and development put into this game I love to play for no rational reason at all, I shake my head in wonderment....

No, no excuses, by all means create another one. while we all bask in the glory of "you cannot KD recovery while KD" or Lag, or the non-existent GCW (need I remind you the game is called an Empire Divided) or the broken Loot tables, or the still useless/weak/imbalanced professions.

2 years and we just had a Combat Revamp, Professions finally getting fixed and still gamebreaking exploits/bugs.. but that's just my opinion, I'm sure you've already taken those factors into consideration, not to mention we can add this idea to this board of exploding revamps + ideas that occur daily. No offense to the OP but its true, too many people trying to change SWG into what it isn't.

No, I have no qualms about another elite profession so long as it takes the same level of commitment to gain as Jedi.

At the moment we have BH who can pwn Jedi and since it takes about 2 weeks to become a a master BH / CM in comparison to approx 1 year to become a Jedi.

If you want a prof equal to Jedi, make it so they have do jump through the same insane hoops we do. Oh and give them XP loss too upon death.

THEN and only then will I stop moaning

EXP loss to a BH vs Jedi fight is totally accpetable if the two were equals.

/agree, but ironically at the moment, a CM/MBH is more powerful than most Jedi. Ironically again, it's the Jedi who loses the XP.

CM is only powerful if the BHs using it know what they are doing. The same works with Jedi. If you know what you are doing you can defeat a BH/CM. If the BH knows what they are doing and you know what you are doing.. then its going to be a tough.. close match. CM is the counter to defender. Powers and Enhancer have ways around it that make CM less effective.

And you need to be appealing to Lucasarts, not SOE. LA is the owner of the property and authorizes thechanges you see in game.
