Well until today i would have never then i started thinking. Surely its in the nature of a BH to take the best deal, so if a Jedi offers you hard cash for no hassle a BH would have taken it. (then killed the mark too most probably). < this wouldnt be very nice though so i think its one or the other.

How many people ou there take bribes, only asking as i just got a call in RL making me rush off when i just started attackin my bounty. I didnt have time to fight and the guy offered me 200k to leave. Yes i took the money for the first time, but why do i feel dirty about it

Own up who else has done this?

TheBounty Hunter Guild should put a bounty on your head.

that is one reasonwhy we need a bounty hunter ranking system of some sort. If you take bribes to not kill your bounty then you will not raise in rank (reputation).

I have taken a bribe 1 time also. figured it was better to take the money and leave then camp outside the jedi house for hours waiting for him to come out after chasing him in house before they fixed the entering house while tefed exploit.

yeah this would be a good idea, taking Bounties on Bounty hunters. Also so i think that we should be able to take bounties on other bounty hunters who fail several times in sucession. This would make it all a bit more Star Wars Like and also allow a great chance for people to RP for a change

I once accepted a bribe to cancel a mission. Actually it was already cancelled, but the mark did not know that.

I agree with the second poster: there needs to be a system of reputation, in order to encourage BH to actually try and complete their missions, instead of cancelling without any extra consequence than the time they lost. This would reward patient BH. It could work like this:

- when you complete successfully a player mission, you earn some points ; the more advanced the mark, the more points
- when you die by the hand of your mark or when you cancel a contract, you lose a few points
- reputation scoredecays over time, or there is a limited number of slots for each level of reputation, in orderto encourage active participation (people not running missions for a long time lose their reputation)

The more points you get, the higher your bounties. It could work like a multiplier or percentage bonus on the normal bounty amount. The extra payment achieved through this system should be very rewarding, in order to really encourage people tocomplete their missions. There should not be any penalty for low ratings (payment could remain the same as now), so that people more interested in casual bounty hunting can still practice this way.

In the Mandalorian Armor (book 1 of theBounty Hunters Wars), we know that this is how Boba Fett gets the most lucrative contracts: he built a reputation, employers know that he does not fail them. Whereas the everyday bounty hunters from the Guild, by sometimes accepting bribes to release their marks, do not maintain a highlevel of quality for the service they provide, thus reducing the overall interest of the contracts they are being offered.

i'm liking that idea 1 thing i can think of is what if you have a mark that alwasy runs. FR3 no matter what temp you have can always run. This would suck if you deranked beacuse of this it would make NPC killin even more attractive than it is atm

If the jedi absolutely wanted to pay me... I would take 500K to drop the mission.

Xposis,

In your subject line the word "Exepted" is not actually a word in the English Language. I imagine that you meant to spell it "Excepted"... which would have been a word, but still not the correct one for the intended meaning. The correct word, given the context and the relatively close phonic construction, would be "Accepted".

Below you will find some supporting information courtesy of "Merriam-Webster OnLine" (www.m-w.com). The web site is free, and I highly recommend it.

Main Entry: 2except
Function: verb
Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French excepter, from Latin exceptare, from exceptus, past participle of excipere to take out, except, from ex- + capere to take -- more at HEAVE
transitive senses : to take or leave out from a number or a whole : EXCLUDE

Main Entry: ac·cept

1 a : to receive willingly <accept a gift> b : to be able or designed to take or hold (something applied or added) accept ink>
2 : to give admittance or approval to <accept her as one of the group>
3 a : to endure without protest or reaction <accept poor living conditions> b : to regard as proper, normal, or inevitable accepted> c : to recognize as true : BELIEVEaccept the explanation>
4 a : to make a favorable response to <accept an offer> b : to agree to undertake (a responsibility) <accept a job>
5 : to assume an obligation to pay; also : to take in payment accept personal checks>
6 : to receive (a legislative report) officially
intransitive senses : to receive favorably something offered -- usually used with of

Thanks and best of luck to you,

I once accepted 500k from a Jedi to walk-away. I incapped the Jedi, was walking over to him and get the /tell "500k if you walk-away" so I said "tip me". "So-and-so has tipped you 500,000 credits."

I walked away to 50m and then triple incapped him.

Got the following tell "**edit** MAN!!!!!! YOU SAID YOU'D LET ME LIVE!!!"

"No... you said 500k to walk away. I walked away, next time be more specific"

I was going to do that last night on a mark. I had chased him to his house after an initial alpha strike of CM pain and weapons fire (he rooted me and ran).

So I get a tell asking to pay me off and I decided to try and RP the whole..10 minute conversation goes by while I watch my droid track hisWP confirm he is sitting in his house.

Finally the conversation ends with him saying he doesn't have the money and me saying see ya soon then. Right after that my mission goes incomplete....

I ask him if he dueled someone, thinking he hada buddy DB him to break my mission, and he claims some other BH killed him..yet my droid still says he was in his house..

Bottom line..no more bribes unless the payoff is immediate.

I would nevr accept a bribe. Its not the Bounty hunter way. And we do need a bOunty hunter Ranking system. I also think that players should be able to hutn non jedi players. Like someone has done something bad to oppose someone. They get a bounty on them. It would be more intreasting that way
