Thread: Why do some go Combat medic?

Why do some of you go combat medic? I am MBH and Master Pistols...starting taking on Healing Eff. toward Novice doctor....help heal for more in a fight...but why CM? The bacta toss and such seem worthless as you climb medic to CM? what is best in CM for a BH? and how so? thanks...before I spend any more points on dr.

well its not for healing its for the specials that come with it. I prolly wont do it cause its just like paralize ect. i'm prolly gonna do healing efficency like i already am and get mbh, mcarbs and dump the rest into rifleman. For some rifle skills for my dc 15.

because with the option of 4 types of healing : Stim, Toss, Spray, and Shot. there is no Down time for healing?



thats why i have it.


Others like the ability to Paralyze, debuff, then Poison and Flame their marks.

Because of the many debuffs you get to hurt the jedi's mind mainly and the fire/poison to force him to heal to drain his force/mind, 2min snare, throid which hurts his atk speed... I mean why not?


I have never seen a full temp killed by anything other than a cm/bh....

But you already get that with CM 4000.

its the debuffs VERY powerful once you have them paralysed you can slow their movement and walking down to a snails pace you slow down their action and min regen - EXACTLY what you want to do when toe to toe with a jedi. Once youve applied all these states whilst they are paralysed you then heap on the damage over time moves, then you run back to range and shoot them up with your uber lightening rifle \ scatter. Whilst they move towards you at snails pace. For someone who knows how to use it, its a very dangerous template

I got some good support off other players when I asked a similar question lately, and it seemed to be that the 4xxx line of Combat medic (which costs the same skill points as Novice Doctor) offers more Healing Efficiency and also some defensive mod boosts.


I was Novice Doctor myself, but as someone pointed out, the +300 initial health boost from Nutrient Injection, is outweighed by the improved healing capacity of Combat Medic 4xxx.

The only reason I personally do not go CM is that if you screw up when applying your skills, you're dead meat because you are in range, and you ending up getting your mind blown to hell trying to heal.

I sit down first....then i drop paralyze, the regen debuffs, and speed debuff.....due to the sitting regen rates I have full mind after applying the debuffs and para...toss some deut and nox and kite away.


sometimes if i time it right and i dont lag i can toss a deut and my toon stands up for me....still with full mind.

With this template, nothing melee is a threat to you at ALL. The only thing that can CATCH you is a Menhancer with FR3 on. Not to ention if you buy DOT enhancers you can get cumulative dots (bleed fire poision) that tock for 750-800 depending on how hard torso sticks for. Not bad seeing as this is unresistable damage. Also it provides you with a pretty nasty tactical advantage, with thsoe bleeds on you always set the pace of combat. He runs slower, he is required to heal every 10 seconds regardless of what your doing, his action and mind regen are cut in half and he attacks at -40 combat speed. No defender stands a chance against it.

MBH/MR/CM4000 is about the most common BH out there now, you get almost no downtime on heals. I chose not to even bother with CM with my templates, I once had MBH/MSmuggler/Pistols4000 and didn't have much trouble without medic then I went MBH/MPistol/Rifles0003/Medic0020 and I still do fine. Most will take up CM for healing line, or master CM for the offensive abilities. But do not waste skillpoints for novice doctor.

And LagSolo, you do realize sitting down like that isn't working as intended, do you?
