I'm a MBH/MCM with 0004 pistoleer. Is it worth putting on recon armor with 8100 resist (eventually will have armor break resist)with the setback of armor mitigation or should i just put on battle/assault armor?

I don't meself, but a friend has the same temp as you used the high energy resist and it works a charm, I guess as long as you know and are prepared to accept the encumbrance it's worth it. Especially against a high/full temp

just put on battle, It's not that much of a difference in protection and the armor hindrances make a BIG difference.

Well i will first say that i don't know much about armour in the CU.

But i fought a guy with that armour i think and he had that smugglers slice for armour break and MAN he was a hard fu*ker to dmg...

I was bearly scratching him...

He just healed off my dmg and i was running outta force fast i did manage to win just but it made him a tough cookie..

Hmm what key is the win button... ohh yea *SPAMS F1*....... WOOT I WIN...

Here's what the numbers mean:

5000 - 42% resists

6000- 52% resists

7000- 58% resists

8000- 62% resists

As you can see, even at 5000 you get pretty decent resists as far as post cu armor goes. The higher you go, the better it gets .. but at a diminishing rate. So don't kill yourself for some 8000+ armor cause the difference in protection isn't the great .. unless you have money to burn.

Save yourself some money and use snysteak or protien waffers when you get rooted or kd.

Go with RIS 7000+ resist armor and slice it for 75% armor break reduction. It'll probably cost you between 10-15 mil but slap 3 ADK's on it and you will be good to go with no hinderance.

The difference between 8k energy and 7k energy is 3.5%. 8k = 56% and 7k = 52.5%. That might help.

Interesting....do you need an ADK for each armor piece or one for the full set? Didn't know you could use ADK's for armor. NOOB! LOL

one adk per piece. the poster was only taking into account the main pieces of helm, chest, and legs since they take most the damage.

I'm pretty sure the cap on armour is:

10,000 = 60%

So your numbers are wrong

here we go:

The actualfunction is: 60 * (AR/10000) + { [ (10000 - AR) / 10000 ] * (AR/200) }

Which reduces to: 0.011 * AR - 5E-7 * AR * AR

Some hard numbers:

1000 = 10.5%

2000 = 20.0%

3000 = 28.5%

4000 = 36.0%

5000 = 42.5%

6000 = 48.0%

7000 = 52.5%

8000 = 56.0%

9000 = 58.5%

10000 = 60%

yeah, someone would have to hit you for 1k points just to see the 8k energy armor absorb 35 more points of damage. imo that's not worth the mitigation.

Most people that I know just use 3 ADK's for armor: 1 chest, 1 legs, 1 helm

The other pieces just don't take enough damage to justify spending all that money in buying ADK's for them, but hey if you have the dough to blow and ADK's to buy then do it. Just make sure you atleast do 1 chest, 1 legs, 1 helm.

For Schizzel.

I don't have the dough to blow. ADK's are going for 18 -20 mil on my server these days. I only have one ADk that I picked up and put on a weapon when the price was a little less.
