This is just a little tactic I use against high-lvl Jedi or known 40k marks who use rifles and healing skills.
All you need is a high det lvl droid, anything above 50 will do just fine. After you bought it, call it, store it and drag it into an action bar slot.
Now, set up 2 macros looking like this:
#1
/ui action toolbarSlot##; => ## being the toolbarSlot number of your droid.
/pause 17;
/tellpet stay;
/way;
This will order your droid to wait at the weapoint you just created.
#2
/tellpet chase;
/pause 1;
/detonate (droid); => Replace "droid" with the exact name of your droid. You need to keep the brackets.
Now for the tactic itself. This works best in the open when the Jedi is out grinding. Stop 200-250m away from your target and start macro #1. Once everything's set move in and attack as usual. If you realize you can't kill the Jedi because he's too strong/heals too often/etc. start "withdrawing" into the general direction of the waypoint you just set and use rangedShot as your standard attack. This will a) save action and b) convince your target that he really does stand a chance against you. Once you're past the droid, root (or snare) the Jedi, start macro #2 and use a KD. Follow this up with your highest dmg shots (you should have plenty of action since you only used rangedShot in the last minute). Even if this doesn't kill him right away, he might panic and make a mistake.There you have it, your personal Alamo - nothing more than a simple trap. The idea behind this is to do an insane damage frontload to an enemy who is just hunting down an "escaping" attacker. So far this tactic has worked out fine for me.
Feel free to add 1-2 covered RM if you hunt in groups.

Ok this is probably going to be one of the last posts I ever make in this game but as we are baracading ourselves in and waiting behind sandbags for the army of mods to storm the place, I just wanted to say its been a blast.
Smuggler to me has always been more of a mental and emotional profession than atrue one and that has hurt this game greatly. I will be making replies in support to our other valiant fighters, but this game has since to hold interest to me. This game has never really held interest but I was blindsighted by lies and false truths the development team has forced on us and this recent insult to our community has opened my eyes.
So in conclusion.

Good bye.

Following you out the door after two more weeks of making noise...or until banned, whichever comes first.
Be well and I too will fondly remember this community despite the taste of rancid vomit SOE leaves in my mouth.

I just pre-emptively cancelled my account as well. They aren't going to do anything by end of this month for us that has any significance.
It was jun knowing you all. We tried but nothing was going to shake them. Perhaps a few of us leaving will help get their attention...probably not though.
I hop you all don't remain complacent, don't let SOE beat you down.
SOE, see ya. I won't patronize ANY Sony product again in this lifetime.
Lucas Arts, I'll seriously consider not patronizing you as well.
