Ok, I have been trying to make a macro for this and can't even come close to getting it to work. I have the detonate one just fine.

What I want is a macro that will tell the droid to group, chase and then target itself so I can detonate when I want with another macro.

I am using:

/tellpet group;

/tellpet chase;

/ui action targetGroup1;

Nopthing happens. I have even tried the tell pet command in thetext boxand it doesn't seem to work at all so what am I doing wrong? Any help appreciated.

I worked on it some more and finally got the first 2 commands to work but how do I get it to target itself at the end?

You got part of the macro right, but ar missing a few things.

It should be:

/tellpet group

/tellpet chase

/pause 5

/ui action targetGroup0

/detonatedroid

/ui action targetGroup1

/detonatedroid

/ui action targetGroup2

ETC, keep going till you get to targetgroup9, this will make sure that if your in a group it will target your droid and set the timer. I would like to thank the fella that came up with the macro. It does work and it makes useing the BOOM droids alot easier.

But I don't want to blow it up as sometimes I am like 70+ metres away so i5 seconds would be useless. I have a separate macro to detontate. But with this macro I want it to group and then chase (which it does) but then I want it to target itself ready for the detonate command. I can only see me using one solo so the droid would be the only other member in group. What group position number is that?

acctuly it would be 8-9 sec befor the bomb would go off. 5 sec pause befor targeting the droid and 3 sec for the bomb timer. You can set the /pause timer for how ever long you want.

Now if you dont want the droid to detonate then make 2 macros.

The first would be:

/tellpet group

/tellpet chase

Second would be:

/detonatedroid

So when you go to get the droid ready, do macro 1. Then manualy click on the droids group tab and do macro 2 when you want to set the bomb.

Remember that when you chase a droid after a target, the little droid will travel fast when it wants to. So with the original macro i gave, you can make a copy macro that has a longer /pause timer for the longer distance if you want to go this route to. Play with the setting to see what you can do.

while that would work their is a macro that can auto target your pet. If there was more than myself and the pet I could target myself but if it was just me and mt bomb droid what is the command to target the droid after the group and chase command?

/ui action targetGroup1

OK, let me make this simple, if the group is just me and my droid is this the correct command to target it? Or is in a different #?

The commands i gave (/ui action TargetGroup0-9)where to target your droid in your group or any group you are in. For instance, if your in a group of just you and your droid or in a group of 5 ppl, the commands i gave will target your droid and tell it to set its timer after it starts chasing the target no matter where it is in the grp..

/ui action TargetGroup1 is usally your character where targetGroup 2 is the next person in your grp(i think).

The reason that the other ui commands are there areto make sure that no matter where your droid is in the grp, it will get targeted and set.

Does this sound ok to you, did it answer the question you are asking?

I think i know what you want to do. what your trying to do is send your pet at a mark from a safe distance. I can tell you this, its not going to work like you want. From testing when i duel a person and i send out a bomb droid. I have found that if you dont engage battle and the droid goes off and the damage is not really recorded right. In order to have the damage stick, you have to engage in the attack, so this means that you have to be fighting to have the damage stick.

Now as for targeting your droid. I have tried many times to target the droid seperatly from the ui grp command and found that it dont work in all areas. My recomendation is to just do the macro i gave and just adjust the pause to fit the time delay you want. The main goal of the macro is to get the droid to chase the target and blow the target up, even if you have to get close to the target.

If this doesnt really help, then im sorry and i hope you can find a better macro to fit what your looking for.

well I did get the info I needed.

I have tried using the droid from a safe distance and it works for me.

What I am thinkking is you see some Jedi occupied fighting some mobs so you send in droid and when it gets to the place you want you hit the detonate command which stops it and that gives you a substantial opening punch.

Looking for a good bomb droid macro, searching the forums has produced nothing. If anyone can help out that would be great as I am sure others are wondering as well.

I really don't use a macro. What I use to do is

  1. Pull Droid

  2. Group with droid

  3. Follow Target

  4. /tellpet (droidname) detonate
