Please tell me how you figure there will ever be a point in time when we'll know who we're hunting, but we won't know how much they're worth. That would be nicer than what the patch notes indicated, but that isn't what they said. While you're idea may have been in good faith to try to help yourself and others out, it made absolutely no sense since the changes were listed to be implemented in the same patch. You sir are the one who needs to learn how to read and not just see what you want to see.
He's saying that on the last day (or at least soon before that) of having names and payouts on the terminals, write down the name and payout of every Jedi you find on there. On a piece of paper. On your desk. Keep the list.
Then, after this patch comes out, you get a mission on Jedi X...you follow the waypoints from your droid. When you get within sight of Jedi X you see her (or his) name. You look at the list you made today and see if this Jedi's name is on it.
Then you say to yourself, "On July 5th (or whatever day you took down the info), Jedi Joe Schmoe was worth 138k...its been 2 weeks, Joe is probably worth X amount now"
Armed with the knowledge you have from preparing for the day of not knowing names and payouts you will then either proceed with the slaying, or drop the mission and try again. Is it as good as you have it now? No, is it better than nothing? Yes. As Aeschyl said, it can't hurt...it can only help.
Please review the entire thread before responding. The first thing I mentioned is that even without double xp, it is very easy to gain over 500k Jedi xp an hour. Having a dated list, even if it's a day old, cannot accurately tell you how many skills a Jedi has. I don't know about you guys, but (if I remain a BH) I'm going to attack every single mark Iapproach if these changes go through. I'm not going to check some old list, guess what the Jedi might be at now, and decide to back down. There is no list necessary if you're going to at least attempt every task set before you. I'd rather give something my best shot than not even try for fear of failure. A bounty hunter loses nothing if they fail their mission. In this new system, why would you chose not to try based on something you read on an old list?

since we will no longer be able to determine the skills of our mark once this next patch goes live (if it does actually go live)
i would recommend that you all go to the BH terms right now, and write down all of the names you see and how much they are worth so that you at least know how good a few of the jedi are that will be flooding the terminals
hope this helps
I have a friend who grinded a complete template of Jedi in 4 days. Of course, this was with the aid of double xp and the respec, but you get my point. Even without double xp, it is quite easy to gain upwards of 500k Jedi xp an hour if you know what you're doing. In the days of broken piket lairs and feral wookiees, there is no possible way to correctly gauge the skills of a Jedi who is dedicated to his or hergrind unless you know how much they're worth.
yes there is no way to truely gauge it
but it at least gives you SOMETHING as opposed to the NOTHING you're about to have

Are you keeping in mind you won't know who you're hunting until you actually get to them? Are you really going to check over your dated list after you reach your mark and make a decision to attack or not to attack based on this old information?

no, but when you DO get to your mark...(since you now know who you're hunting)...if you happened to have written their value down - you'll be at least slightly less blind
doing this CANT hurt, it can ONLY help
but i guess you cant understand what it takes to be a great BH, you enjoy blindly chasing those waypoints like a chicken with his head cut off...i'll still be attempting to collect intel and keep the upper-hand on my mark
good day to you

LOL do you not understand that both nerfs of not knowing who you're hunting and not knowing how much they're worth will go in at the same time? Sure, as of now we know who we're hunting and we also are told how much they're worth. This information will be taken from us at the same time. I never said I enjoyed "blindly chasing those waypoints like a chicken with his head cut off" or anything even remotely similar. I'm totally against these nerfs to BH. All I'm saying is that having an oldlist of how much people were worth days or even weeks ago will not help you and is simply a waste of time.
Good day to you...moron.

umm, ok
you keep thinking that
Keep thinking what? That you're a moron for thinking they'd implement these changes seperately when in the missing patch notes, they said this:
"Profession: Bounty Hunter
NPC Bounty missions will now work properly. The Mark will now be of appropriate difficulty based on the difficulty of the mission
Moved Player Bounty Hunting to the Master Bounty Hunter skill Box
Bounty Hunter Jedi missions (1) no longer list Jedi names and (2) prevent you from determining Jedi’s level via mission payout"
Yeah...how do you figure there will be a point where you'll know who you're hunting, but not how much they're worth? Wake up man.

Hey guys, Aeschyl is(was) one of the TOP Jedi killers of our galaxy. It would serve you all well to heed the advice he gives.
