Bounty Hunter Archive
Thread: Introduction
I would like to introduce myself. ewe, Naritus's latest Bounty Hunter.
I have been lurking here since day one. Would like to thank many of you for all your help. I must include a shameless plug for Blackin, without whom I could not be the very happy killer I am.
All I ever wanted to do in this game is Bounty Hunt, and like many others hope this will someday include pc bounties.
I came from Shadowbane, which outside the noob areas, was constant pvp. The game iteself was subpar, but the pvp system was awesome. And never boring.
Like a million other threads, I would like to offer my 2 cents on pc bounties.
Keeping it simple is the best. If you are covert, then that should mean taking part in the Bounty System. Period.
I mean ANYONE else who chooses to wear the covert flag can kill you, accept a Bounty Hunter. How stupid is that?
Now by this I mean I cannot kill an overt without dueling, because my FACTION of choice isn't even in game yet. Hutt.
I suppose I will be going Empire, but I am not at all happy about it. At least I will get some pvp in, and will be trying, with some rl friends to get some bounties going anyway.
Novice Medic tag, and hit that duel button. lol
Anyway, if you are on Naritus, shoot me a tell and we can roll some missions or something.
I was in Shadowbane for as long as I could stand it (1 month of beta, 1 monthof release). I totally agree with you're point about the SB PvP system, it is great - but the game overall is terrible, or was the last time I played it 2 months ago. You make good points.
About the Hutt faction. Yes, that along with many other things was removed and placed on the far back burner for possible inclusion at a later time. Personally I think we should have many factions, as I've said before. I do not believe everyone in the galaxy would be wrapped up in the Galactic Civil War. For most people, issues facing your daily life and existence would be of far greater interest than some battle of titans.
maybe i'm wrong to question your qualifications, but what are they?
71 posts and 2 were in the TK forums and they were after you got the correspondant position.
Cant swing a dead cat in here without hitting a correspondent. Congrats Vlak. I can see why your post count would worry some, but I dont think it should matter as long as you play the game as a TK, you know whats broken and whats not...half the messages on these boards arent even worth reading, so why should post count/read matter?
As for all you other correspondents...well good to see you are at least trying to make something respectable out of your other skill points ![]()

* You see MasterNerfSlayer use Gorax Smash on a swinging dead cat for 1337 points of damage *
A lot of people don't post, they just like to read. I'm not one of them ha! Though I do most of my posting when I can't get into the game. Some people have better things to do with their spare time lol
Hmm. I posted my concerns in the Correspondent thread, so I'll not do so again here. Ok, I lied.
I would like for you to post your credentials in the forum. We have a right to know. Personally, I'm not comfortable with someone who isn't evena veteran....much less never even posted in the TK forum. How can you know how far TK has come since the beginning? And how can we know what your views on our issues are since you never posted before?
I really don't mean to be hard on you...I'm just seriously questioning this right now. I care a lot about this profession...I think it's the best one in the game. And I'm not at all certain I feel that you'll do our profession justice. I hope you can allay our fears and show us that you'll be a good corre. I guess only time will tell....

I'll have to second the concerns made previously....
It is not rare for TH to put someone in place that is practically unknown to the community they represent, although I still feel it to be a bad idea. Especially since one of the "qualifications" is that of a community leader, but that is not possible if one never posts.
