I haven't had a chance to experiment much but from what I've seen the creature we are making only seems to make a difference in that it might have some parameters in it as far as minimum cl, is this correct? Will there be any difference between a Merek or a Huurton that I make with the same set of DNA, for instance? Do any of the traits inherent in the Merek or Huurton species carry over?
If this is it then I'm disappointed. I had assumed that at least some of the traits would carry over, that if I was crafting a creature which naturally had a certain resistance, armor or special attack then there would at least be a chance that those same abilities could carry into the final product.

I like it the way it is, this way custom orders are just that, custom orders.
Not, "I want a custom kaduu" but "I want a custom pet"
Most people will opt out for the pet chassis anyways, because of its inherent TN skill built into the skin.

As far as I know not the only thing that matters about the body is it's run speed. For the rest it's an empty shell that will not matter at all.
For example the same template in a gnort is just as good as that template in a kimo. The only diff is the kimo is really big and makes you screen bounce like a fun-fair ride. The gnort is nice and small, but runs at the speed of a senior citizen.
Personally I like anglers. Nice size, good looks and pretty fast.
p.s. gurreck is the fastest body, and can keep up with you when you are on a swoop bike.... Quite a nice perk.

Yeah, but it seems to me that our customers are going to want their Mereks to be able to do Merek stuff. I like the idea that we can enhance it and I understand that those enhancements could and should come at the cost of some of its original abilities, but I don't understand why it has to be a blank slate. I would rather the original abilities CHANGE and not DICTATE the creature's stats.
Still, undoubtedly an improvement upon the original, unimplemented system.

Run Speed and Min/Max CL I believe is all that the Creature type now controls. Can't see why anyone would ever want a big creature again... other than to run around town shaking the screen.
Give me a Narglatch or Gurreck with all the stats.

I like the way it is...total controle of the creatures stats. If you want a "Merik like" merik then use merik DNA

Different strokes for different folks. I pray that this will mean fewer big creatures, but the tells I'm getting are for Kimos and Grauls. Too many players out there are judging themselves and each other by the size of their...pets.
