Thread: Looking to become BE, need advice
Hello
I am currnly working my way up to master CH, and am halfway through Organic Chemistry IV, with the aim to becoming a Master CH and then a Master BE.
Wilst I know it will take a while to get to master BE, is there anything I can do in preparation for this profession? Like harveting lots of a particular material? or purchasing a particular type of tool.
Your comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yep. And my survival macro set up on a hotkey...
/target speederbike
As a CH, you can have your pet(s) guard you, but when you are looking for DNA, te goal is not to fight the target animals, but to peacefully acquire a DNA sample. When I get aggro'd, I hop on my nearby speeder and dash away, peace out and then come back for another atempt.
Another item you might look for would be some Maskscent-enhancing clothing.
And study the new advanced BE guide. I think it is well-done.
yes you will probably need >50k of meat so I would suggest you get hoarding ![]()
although
Kedge,
It really depends on what you're looking to do as a BE, and what your playstyle is. If you are the "power grinder" type who is racing towards master and what to expend your resources and efforts into that mainly, then simply stockpiling the cheapest meat and flora (any kind) is what you need. If you are primarily going to be a pet maker, then again all you need is big stacks of the cheapest meat and flora you can get. You also might want to start thinking about getting as much mask scent ability as you can, and this could include getting exploration 4 or master scout or whatever, buying mask scent clothing, and getting a supply of jawa beer.
If you are looking to get into the tissue (chef or tailor varieties) biz, then what you should be doing is stockpiling the best resources you can find. Basically look on www.swgcraft.com and find flora that averages 800+ in OQ, PE, and flavor and start stockpiling those. There are some specific types of flora that are needed for specific things (like talusian fungus for pet stim b-s) but again you can look on www.swgcraft.com and take a look at the schematics of things you think you might want to be making in the future. Also stockpile all meat (any type except domestic) you can, that averages 700+ or so. Especially keep an eye out for reptile meat (any planet), and dathomir insect meat as those are generally the toughest to get.
AFAIK pets no longer reduce the amount of resource you harvest. IIRC you need around 80k meat and 120k flora to grind through all the crafting trees to master
Cheers for all your advice,
I'm not looking to grind through any profession, I just like to take them as they come, go on hunts and if I get enough XP to progress then all the better. I'm more intereseted in having fun that spening a couple of days grinding to get to Master just so that I can go off and grind another profession.
I have started to stock pile meat from the hunts I go on, and will look round for flora.
Cheers again for your help with this.
