Thread: lvl 1 pet with good combat ability ?!?, help?
If their stats are higher then its up to you to chose whether you feel right using them or whatever.
I dont know exactly how CH xp would work, afaik the lower the level of the pet the more XP the owner gets but I havent been a CH since beta so dont quote me on that - but anyway I think with high stats a CH could behefit significantly from having a cl 1 pet.
We cant really tell you what to do - its up to you to decide what you think is right
I'm surprised a CSR told you you could use the "bugged" pre-publish 6 deeds without a telling off (unless, as has been said earlier, it's stats werea bit naff).
I can't bear to destroy pets if I can avoid it - and I also avoid anything that smacks of an "exploit", so still have a couple of packs full of the little buggers stashed (mostly blurgs and anglers - although there is at least 1 rancor as well).
I just wish they'd say something definitive - even if it was to throw these pets off a bridge..................
TBH I can't see them allowing me to run about with 2 rancors and blurrg!
They aren't really level 1 pets --they show level one but, for example, when you pull the blurrg out, itaffects your ability to pull another pet like a level 50 pet would (because that is the blurrg's wild level) -- so,you won't be able to pull more than2 of these out. Yes you can use them - of course they have no specials and are essentially wild creatures without the specials (same resists as wild), but any good BE can make better. Also, if the creature has any ferocity at all, you won't be able to pull them out as a non-ch, so it really isn't an exploit to use them (a non-ch cannot use one of the pre-nerf dewbacks or rancors for example). Also - to tame them, you must be of a level to tame the wild version.
That's probably why theDevs didn't care about these -- because they're essentially wild pets sans specials.

i still have one of these i keep more as a novelty. besides, it was my first pet and has sentimental value. to be able to call it as a CH i had to be at least level 20 i think, which is about where it should be, however when i had pack management i could use it with a pet that was 1 lower then my CL. i got full CH xp, they only catch was i had to pull out my "normal" pet first, then the "bugged" pet second or it would give me the "beyond your current level" message
