Added Clarification: By "Keeper" I mean the pet is worthy of being placed on my vendor or being given away or sold. If I make a pet that is not a keeper, it is deleted.

I am thinking of doing a simple comparison of same-level creatures from SWG Creatures and if my pets exceed their stats, then it's a keeper.
Is this pretty much what you all do? or?
I made my first level 20 pet that exceeds all of the wild level 20's stats.

Well when I was making pets, I would decide a pet was a keeper when it met the standards of my customer or myself, based on the criteria I was looking for. For instance, if I was looking for high damage and high HAM and my pet met those requirements, then for me it was a keeper. Other times when it exceeded the stats of a wild creature. It varied from scenario to scenario.

Keepers to me are ones I would find worthy of taming as a CH if I only had one Pet storage slot left (or was good enough to delte a current pet). As a MCH-MBE I have a definate preference on what is a good pet.

i make certain levels of creatures, I dont really choose ones i keep or delete, because i never have cause to delete as i know roughly what i get when they turn out, which is one of the catagories as follows.
~CL16 - 8k/3k/5k HAM - Light Armour - 60% Kinetic resist
~CL25 - 10k/6k/7k HAM - Light Armour - 60% Kinetic resist
~CL35 - 11k/9k/10k HAM - Light Armour - 60% Kinetic resist
~CL50 - 12k/12k/12k HAm - Light Armour - 60% Kinetic resist
Going to add a little more veriaty once i got enough of each of thosestaying onmy vendor, as these seem to be most in demand, But when i experiment, anything i make must have light armour / good resists(or specialised in something)

If I make some thing and I look at it and say "oh ya, I wish I was a CH so I could use it."
Then i know I did good,and its a keepeer.

lol, that is exactly what i say. i've kept (or sold) everything i've ever made - except for a swirlprong i made when i was novice. if i dont like it then i just resample it and try to get back some of the decent DNA. if i accidently leave a vulnerability in (such as vulnerability to kinetic, whoops) - then i resample it and put the DNA somewhere else.
