I'm looking for some bio engineers to do regular business with. My last 2 partners have moved on due to the infamous holo grinding.
I'm not really looking to purchase nutrients, however, if the price is right I will. I have over 100k units of meat that I need to turn into nutrients so...... I am looking to buy schematics from people.
If you're interested please send me a tell in game. IG name is Diabla.
Thank You.

Hi,
I'm on Kauri as well. In addition, Master Chef is my very first Mastered profession (2 months ago when Ijoined SWG, Ithought I'd be a smuggler/engineer/pistoleer ... andbust trade embargos, sneak thoughplanetary blockades andrepair my ship "just in time"... but uh ... well you know). So here we are. I'm a slicer and a Master Chef. At the moment I'm introducing myself to Kauri server BE's, Tailors and hunters.
I truly believe we can all help each other out. We are the service professionals.
The players who generate the money are the tanks and those others who play in the field. They have the money and will pay for the food & buffs that helps them spam attacks and resist the "new" npc specials that hammer away at them. They get the loot drops and sell them for more money (OK, OK yes they spend 35%, I imagine, on new armor & weapons. It's not cheap. I know. But it's not unheard of to generate over a million per day with Dantooine missions). They "get" the money and we supply goods and services so they can continue ... easy concept.
I truly believe we can all help each other out andtaking for granted the things I have read in the boards ,here's how ...
Financing. Make relatrionships, make friends, and network. Get a trust thing going and serve each other as well.
BIG POINT HERE:
Every mature economy has financing of one sort or another. The costs just get too damn high to run a business.Customers demand lowers prices (especially amongst BE's and Chefs) and we have to get creative and cozy witheach other. For example, the huge car companies do not make the most profit from selling a car. It's their main product but they do not make a decent profit off of that. They make their profit from selling the services and financing. I do not wish to digress too much, and I will not have an argument about this fact: car companies make WELL under 50% of their profit margin from car sales. I live in the Detroit, USA area and we hear about this stuff all the time.... moving on.
Now, the one BE I'm chatting with sells his "5's" for 1Mil plus, andup, through the other tissues. That gives me a heart attack on top of the headache I have from looking into the factories, resources and storage ... oh boy. He said he will make exceptions for me because I'm new. But that's not good business and I will refuse his kind offer.
My proposal will be to prove why I am worthy of a one time price discount or better yet an advance of services in exchange for resources, credits and trade. [Out of time ..have to leave so I'll wrap up]
We have to make realtionship, be creative and be flexible. In RL an email is a binding document and can be used in court. Likewise, my plan will work if the CSSR's will respect the email contract between players, in the worst case scenerio. But through chatting and relationships that the SOEdevs hope that we'll make together, you should be able to make deals with new chefs who in turn will pay you back in greater rewards. It is an age old problem of, "who can you trust?"
DAMN, out of time.
I am looking for BE's in Kauri as well. Let's chat and see how we can work together. With a group of Be's and Chef's we cancreate our own pseudo group ... and own the galaxy. Let's work together, get rich and then tour the galaxy in style.
The rest need us in a big way, even though we'll be hitting space soon.

Hmm... are you trying to get flamed?
Do take the time to read the sticky post at the top by Jeassa (an SOEmoderator - shock horror) saying that this is NOT a trade forum - ok?
Then - don't bother arguing about it - that's why it's a STICKY post from a moderator - because you don't get to argue about it.
Also - schematics? pffffft... 'nuff said

Geez, you'd think that sticky thread was posted as the 11th commandment.

It isn't a commandment, but it is a rule that is SO important and SO abused that the mods singled it out as the only rule that has it's own post stickied at the top of the forum. I guess that would make it the #1 rule.

1st commandment: thall shalt not spam thy profession boards with desperate pleas for trades.
2nd commandment: thall shalt not ask for schematics unless you are prepared to offer thy schematics to your customers instead ofthy goods as well.

Saw the thread. It was already here. The moderator should have removed it if it wasn't supposed to be here. But I'm new to gaming forums, so that's my opinion, only. Also when your done being so tense about a game and are willing to get the most from it, reread my post and think about this ... Flexibilty, Dignity and Respect are key values and with a little creativity we all can have a lot of fun in the game.
My proposal uses myself in the example (because I'm in the situation) but is set up as a "sample" template from which any number of mutually beneficial results can occur -- in all professions. It seems the chef and BE have difficulties dealing with one another. I'm new to MMORPG's so this surprises me. The system is designed to force interaction and that's great for chef's and BE's. It really is a good thing.
By the way, if I only wanted to trade, my post would be two lines. Think about that when you reread.
In the end, I don't see any difficulty. It'll take work but it's not impossible. That's why I have fun in most things I do in-game.. That's why I am succeeding in bringing people and professions together on my server.Try to relax and begin looking for solutions. The game might turn around for you and be fun in addition to an addiction.
Try to have a good day, really. We're all in this together (and if you create an account on Kauri ... /tell me and I'll help you out).

I remember a time not so long ago when a thread asking for a bio-engineer's help would have been greeted with excitement. People would fall over themselves to get the business.
Now those threads are treated with absolute contempt. Take a look at the chef and creature handler forums. You'll see threads asking why bio-engineers are rude and snobbish. Again, you aren't helping your cause in any way by treating your potential customers poorly.
The only solace these customers can take to heart is that 60% of the players don't use the forums.

You'll also find threads here asking why chefs are so greedy...nobodys perfect
Rules are rules, nothing we can do to change them. Its not a difficult rule to follow, trade post in trade forum.
There are few enough of us here as it is, we dont need more BE's chased away by trade forum spam.
Not every forum has that sticky, only those that have had a problem with trade spam.

I doubt it was the spam that drove BE's away but that's just my opinion.
