I was out looking for DNA on Talus and a Decaying Rot Mite broke my Mask Scent as a I traveled by in my Speeder. This thing stayed on my tail for 1800M....not 180m....1800m. I finally stopped the speeder and decided to let it catch up with me.We could just duke it out and end the stupid chase music...right? As soon I hopped out of the Speeder, the music went off and the Aggro discontinued.
Has this bug been out for awhileor is this anew bug I should report.
Same thing happened on Endor with a Bark Mite Burrower Queen....needless to say that I was more than a bit hesitant to jump out of "Ol' Trusty" 'cause those mamas are bad news. However, I took my chances and again she turned around and went back to her lair. Anyway, I was just kinda wondering if this was client side or server side bug.
I hate wasting the CSR's time on bugs that have been reported for the last year....lol.
Let me know...Thanks.

I don't know NancyJ.
I have "Peace" command setup in a hotkey and I pressed it many, many times and got zip...nothing. It wasn't until I traveled 1000m and dismounted that it would stop. I don't know. I may just write it up as a bug. I know a CSR will tell me to just run a Full Scan ...which I have already done.....log on and try again. Oh well...no biggy....I guess I have a work around...lol.
Thanks for the response.

I have been chased a loooong way by a merek harvester, somebody said it would stop after 100m if I got aggro on a failed DNA attempt with /peace on, seems this guy was not aware of that.
Some mobs just keep chasing like forever.

This works for me 95% of the time without fail. If after an attempt to sample DNA I get agro'd I jump on my bike, head out about 150m then stop, turn around. When the creature gets within a 5-10m i start moving towards it hitting "peace" as soon as we cross paths the agro is lost. Saves a lot of time running out far between DNA sampling. Give it a try
Oh yeah, once in a great while the creature gets in 1 hit before the peace, 99% of the timeno big deal unless your HAM is already down.

Just press peace a couple of times and the music will stop if the creature has stopped chasing, remember combat is a two way thing, just because it doesnt want to fight anymore, doesnt mean your character isnt still trying to fight back.

I just watch the red dot on the radar, when it stops chasing I just hit peace then wait a while before I head back (if I'm on my bike)
