Brannoc - *Blue_Harvest|Vhaal|Chimaera* Are there any plans for more creatures to be mountable? IE Rancors? (THere is a sweet piece of art depicting a load of Nightsisters going to war on the backs of Rancors
)
justG - we are definitely going to be adding new creatures some time. We are also looking into ways of making them much more viable in combat.

The following is a revisit to this interview on Thursday July 15, 2004:
1. I wonder what justG means exactly by "much more viable"?
In my experience, petsused in PvE are only somewhat viable; in 1 on 1 PvP, pets are not viable; in mass PvP, pets are only a 1 or 2 attack special annoyance.
Are these assertions that [pets] be made "much more viable in combat" being addressed?

the devs have said that CHs have already been balanced ahead of the combat nerf balance and once all professions get adjusted, the CHs will be made useful again (although really I don't see how).

they knock the rest of the professions down to the level of CH,clearly. A rebalance has to set a standard for ability/difficulty, and if CH is ahead of the game then clearly they're taking things downward. It will be interesting when people have to have twice as big of groups to hit rancor lairs, etc etc... I shudder to think what the response will be when TKM's are as effective against an enraged rancor lair as a MCH. Hmmm, meat prices go up... BE's get out-bid by chefs and doctors... the tissue line of products unravels like a helix during mitosis (hehe).
