Thread: JTL...where do we fit in as BE's?

I'm a little fuzzy on the details with JTL. Do we have to surrender some of our main character's SP to acquire Pilot skills? Second, are we going to just be pilots like the rest? Thanks for the responses in advance

I am in beta and I will tell you what I know so far. Since it is beta who knows if it will stay this way. You do not have to give up sp to be a pilot. It is part of the "space game". I have not found a use for BE but I have only been on twice. Nancy can prob give more details if we will be incorporated in the space game.

Pippin, you may want to refrain from posting on the non-beta boards any specific information about the beta (or lack of information as your experience with BE's is in beta from what you say). Unless the devs or SOE or lucasarts has released the info you are under an NDA to not share what you know. SOE has alredy told us that pilot skills will not use skill points, only the ship building professions will. As far as the roles of BE's in space, that is really not something that can be discussed.

Uh-oh....Don't want anyone to get in trouble here or lose their Pilot privilege. I will wait until JTL comes out and keep my questions to myself.

just wanted to say... it's not your fault for asking bendi. Anyone in beta should be aware of the NDA on their own... your question is perfectly legitimate, as there are sufficient details purposely released by SOE to have answered your question... which is of course that nobody really has a 'role' in space, only your pilot skills matter. Economy-wise, we have no information even vaguely hinting at biological ship upgrades, etc, and I am well beyond doubtful of any such concept heh heh heh

It's disclosedpublic knowledge that you won't have to give up any skills for pilot. No one is breaking any NDA rules by saying so.

Shipwright on the other hand is a profession like any other. If you want to become a shipwright you'll need to give up skill points. Again, this is also public information.

As far as what professional interdependance is required in JTL. *shakes the magic 8 ball* Ask Again Later.
