Thread: Low Level Tissues

I have a BE friend that doesn't plan on mastering. She is a Master Tailor and makes all of my clothes. I collect resources for the tissues. Milking is a piece of cake for a masked Master Ranger. Anyway...even her really bad tissuse bump my clothing just a bit. My closet is filled with bio clothes ranging from +3 to + 25 enhancements.

She often "wastes" bio cloth in casual wear for me. I end up with minor enhanced clothing that I really like. Camos and cloaks are fine but I don't want to wear them ALL the time. Many Master Rangers and Master Creature Handlers don't need max enhanced clothes.

So...don't think your non maxed tissues are worthless. To some, they offer just enough of a bump to run through the woods of Endor or call that level 66 pet.

Its true, as long asyou're getting +12 at least its ok....a +12 and a +13 will still hit the 25 cap just as much as two +15 combined =)

though I should warn to any potential non-MBE tissue crafters, if you want the self-sufficiency of crafting your own tissues, you'll have to go 0404 in BE still to make anything marketable; BE is like most crafting profs in that its an all-or-nothing endeavor

Does anyone else here sell low level tissues? (the ones that max +10)?

Over the weekend I got enough eggs to make 1 crate of enhanced myoflex W00T. They're +16s but I got to thinking what a waste that would be for *most* outfits, aha 16+9 = 25 so I started running off crates of the low level myoflex, that doesnt need eggs. Considerably lowering costs for the tailor. There are some outfits that have 3 slots of synth too so they would be considerably cheaper than using +16s in 2 of the slots.

I do this to my tailor when I'm feeling lazy, otherwise I shoot for +25 (yeah I know it's not possible, but I can hope)

It's a nice idea. I like it, I even have some +7 myoflex left from when I was a noob BE that I use on occasion, but I believe this idea is certainly only applicable to myoflex. The RFP tissues to not stack within an article of clothing, so there isn't really demand for anything under +13 (actually, I don't think there is any demand from tailors under +15 even though clothing customers see it a bit differently). And when you're talking about bio sensors or tranquilizers (yep, basic tranquilizers require milk too), it is a lot cheaper to make lots and lots of +13's using cheap, 3-5cpumaterials then it would be to make lesser amounts of godly advanced tissues and then godly basic ones.

I've only recently gotten into the tailor tissue selling in a serious way, after exiting the chef tissue biz. What I've discovered is that there are a lot of smart tailors out there, and they have an insatiable appetite for cheap +13 advanced biosensors. It's funny, because I often have to experiment a couple of times to make sure the stuff I'm using is "bad enough" to hit +13. Often times it'll be like... try the 800 OQ wood with mediocre meat... +15... doh!... break out the 700 OQ wood with the truly dreadful meat that I just bought at 3cpu... ah... +13!

Interesting idea.

I can't believe I have never thought about this before!

It could be very useful trying to bridge the financial gap between Enhanced Myoflex sold to Entertainers, and say Active Biosensors sold to Docs. WithEnhanced Myoflexbeing the most expensive to make, and intended for possibly the least rich profession, we need to consider the financialsignificance forour end customers.

An ability to make an alternative, cheaper set ofentertainer clothes is great, particularly as entertainers are probably the largest Tailor customer and often wear more than one piece of clothing at a time. It could be more profitable in the long run, by making BE clothing more accessible to poorer proffs, ie. Higher demand.

I for one will be suggesting this as an alternative to my Tailor customers. I'm always being asked for Enh Myoflex.

I recently recieved and order for 3 crates of Active bio-sensors, 3 crates of Tensile resistance, and 3 crates of whatever else I recommended. I read this post just prior to the order and I suggesteda +8,plain-Jane Myoflex. The tailor was sceptical about trying to sell her clothing withthese subpar tissues. I got a /tell from the tailor last night indicating she needed more of the myoflex because she couldn't keep it on the vendors.

And here I was.....all upset about not ever having enough eggs to due decent runsof the enhanced myoflex tissues. This has truly been a wonderful idea.

Incidentally, I charged 67K for1 crate of the plain-Jane myoflex...not a bad sellfor me, not a bad buy for the tailor,...equally important.... thedancers and musicians are happy.

I've just tested and you can use Myoflex and Enhanced Myoflex in the same piece of clothing (not sure if Arthur was saying otherwise) and it stacks the bonus.

No no, of course you can (in items that have multiple "slots" of synthetic cloth). And it makes sense to do so. It's a good idea, I'll probably make some more basic myoflex myself I was just saying that for the "RFP" tissues (mask scent, stun/melee, bleed defense, warcry/intimidate) there is no opportunity to stack those in a single item of clothing with their advanced counterparts, so I can't imagine tailors wanting the basic versions of those tissues, and when we're talking about bio sensors or tranquilizers, there is no cost savings in making the basic versions of those tissues, so it doesn't make sense to make them. For example I can certainly make a +10 bio sensor for cheaper than I can make a +8 one (because of the grade of materials that are needed).

Incidentally, with JTL coming out (reportedly) next week, and two new races and dozens of new tailor schematics being added, I think it's safe to say that there will be a huge uptick in clothing sales, which should translate into a huge uptick in clothing bio tissue sales. A good time to build your stock up
