I've just started to play BE, and I must say that i like it. I have a question though:
When I sample Dna on a creature i don't get the harvest option, but I do get the loot option.
Say i would sample a fambaa succesful, would i be able te loot the fambaa armor segments?

last I checked, sample-kills do not allow harvest OR looting.
also... I've noticed that creatures killed with DNA sampling don't properly respawn (sometimes, but not always)... or count for various missions or quests (ie sampling the wild bladeback boar won't give you the mark of courage... but that's also a loot issue).
sample-kills get MUCH rarer as your DNA skill increases.

ya you can't harvest/loot after you kill through dna sampling. When you get to a higher level you can sample once then kill for resources. dna sampling for missions is a nice way to make credits though. Also a nice way to grind if you have the patience is to get a full pack of dna is to make the highest xp creature possible, actually make it not experiment. Then take the new pets at sample from them. sure this is a pain since you have to sample from the radial menu and can't use the /dnasample command, but you don't have to worry about being attacked if you don't have a combat class to back you up. just rinse and repeat until you are no longer able to make any creatures then go back out get some missions and start again.

You can some times loot an old boot or a sandwich but that's about it.

a sandwich? does it give you any stat buffs when you eat it?
and does the boot have any skill mods? =)

Actually....
I have thrown the boot and the sandwiches to the Sarlacc and it nearly killed him....
When you go to MR Valley on Dath and you get the "Smell of rot and disease" message across the screen.....that's right.....you got it....sandwiches and the boot.
I tried throwin' my noob melon in there to help him out but, he just threw it back at me.
I guess he doesn't trust me anymore......lol.
