Ok.. Do BE and wild pets still grow to full size the same way as before publish 21?

Does it still take 7 days for them to reach full size, or do they grow as you lvl up their special abillities??

I am just woundering...

Oh and how do you train them for those lvl up's?? Is it in combat???

Thanks for the help...

Hiya Combat - no they don't DIY grow anymore ... you should head over to the CH forum and check out the very very good stickies there but basically they start as babies with full STRENGTH but not full physical size.

Physical size for a pet is now based on how much you work with that pet - yes it's in doing combat with it. They have a leveling system that gains them more slots for using specials and presumably takes them up a notch in physical size.

At least that's what I've read so far ... heading into the game to look for myself ...

Nope whole new system. now you need your pets to fight and gain xp just like you to gain levels. Don't know about specails yet as i haven't logged in to try it all out and wont get to for another 6 hours or so.

Actually Dor, yes they do, but not as much as they did before, Non-CH pets (under CL10) if you read the patch notes will grow over time to a default size (not sure how big it is yet, i'm growing one now) past CL10 they will grow with xp (at least thats how i read the notes).

Actually after re-reading it i think i may have read it wrong hehe, still going to test it thought, because if they don't allow at least non-ch to grow to near decent size then thats our non-ch business well and truly gone.

I read it again too - i think you read it wrong the first time

My husband was using his cu pa last night - as a non-CH the pet wasn't gaining any pet xp ... therefore = non-CH pets should not grow?

I was thinking about the whole pet innate abilities idea and realized - there's gonna be a market for unused wild pets with rare abilities you know. It's a bit like looted CA's for pets really (or AA's) except that they will have mulitple application. I was wondering how I, as a BE, could help centralize that market around my petshop and was wondering if any CH's would go for 'advertising pet deeds' where they get to pick the 'picture' of the animal, and the tag line ... then in the description it would say the specials the pet had and who to contact for exchange of the real item which would be the tamed pet owned by the CH not the deed. Although on the other hand maybe people will be so lacking in space that they won't keep the ones they don't need.

When you walk past a baby now as a CH, you feel like you're playing the lottery !!!

But back to the non-CH pets issue. I'm planning to make a selection of 'micropets' in a vendor for non-CH's and see what happens.

Yeah - I'm going to test the Non CH pet issue as well... Only I'm going to give one of my pets to a Non CH and then check it everyday to see what's going on with it. This may have just ruined the order I was trying to fill for Non CH mounts. /sigh ....

Imperiling Feint sounds like an armor break to me. If so this will be a very attractive pet special for range types who do not have an armor break, even in a CL10 pet. That is 3 pet slots, 4th probably goes to fleet footed, since pets are so slow now. Any other pet special is a bonus. High health would be one of the biggies, that a BE could come with.
