I made a non-CH pet for a PA mate of mine. I have handling skills as well so I tamed, named and trained it for him.

No matter whether I used the trade window or the Transfer command I would get the message 'this person has too many pets' and he would get the message 'too many pets in this container'. Here is the rub - I could and did easily trade him other non-CH pets. We traded several pets and droids back and forth. The only thing we couldn't trade was my new creation.

I'll post the approximate stats on the Creature just in case some quirk there turns out to matter.

3K Health, 5K Action, 1600 Mind. 19% Kinetic Resist, 14% Energy Resist, 0% Blast Resist, all others Vulnerability. No Special 1, Special 2 Knockdown, No Ranged. CL 9 in a Bordok skin. CL as a baby (once tamed) was 0(9).

Anybody else ever have this bug, or been able to work around it?

I had the same problem. IF the person has a droid with data storage have them get that droid out while you try to do the transfer, this worked for me.

If they don't have data storage droid get out any droid they might have while you try to transfer.

I just traded a pet to someone yesterday (non-CH level). So I know it's possible. Silly question, but positive he doesn't already have 2 pets in his datapad?

Good info all. The guy this pet is slated for is out of town for a week, but I'll dig this thread up and pop it back to the top when he gets back and I've been able to give feedback. Thanks.

This happened to a friend also, had a cl 9 be pet she had just made. Could not transfer to a player, had them transfer to me and it worked, again I tried and it failed. But, I was then able to transfer the cl 9 pet to a novice ch. The problem is the creature had a high aggressive level. So, it might go back to the old issue of aggressive creatures cannot be tamed by non-ch. Try this out and see, it's not a bug. Check out the creature type and aggressive level I think. Please let us all know if this is what you have also seen.
