Thread: Embarassing Moment of the Day

I saw a Stoneskin Hanadak on Endor. I examined it and said, "HOLY COW LOOK AT THOSE RESISTS!!!!" Without looking at its HAM or checking SWGCreatures for it's Difficulty Level. I equipped my Sampling Outfit, took my Jawa Beer, ate my Taming food, and Injected myself with some Aroma Scent.
I masked my scent and moved in...spamming my /sampleDNA macro faster than I ever had. I was getting closer and closer. He detected me. Determined more than ever, I kept moving in... spamming, spamming, and spamming some more. I got in range, I pulled my sample needle from my knapsack, and injected it into the furry beast's right buttock.
A few seconds past, I was giddy with excitement... I'm going to get some sweet DNA. Then the munkee looked at me, grinned, and backhanded the gullet from my chin. X_X

Yeah, its a shame they're CL100+ and you had no hope of getting a sample off it in the first place =)

i did this probably a year ago lol (maybe even more... i think it was the day of the revamp actually)
i wasn't even master bio, there was no such thing as jawa beer, i might have had some mask scent clothes but anyways.... SOMEHOW i did manage to get close enough to try and sample the bugger at least a dozen times
died maybe 3 or 5 times and the whole time just "omg i HAVE to get some of these samples!!!"
then found out the creature level and was like ooooooooohhh.... probably WAY too high lol

you'll learn soon enough...
resists = CL.
anything over 60% energy/60% kinteic just bites you in the rear, unless it's balanced somewhere else.
if it makes you feel any better, I went after blurrg raptors for a while. they're SO close to the cloner, it overcame my natural cynicism.
"sure, there's a CL75 sample cap. SURE."
"no, really. I don't believe in a SAMPLE CAP."
"ok, I dropped everything at home that I care about. if I can maskscent to it, I've got a chance."
"heck, BF doesn't get in the way of DNA sampling, does it?"
"I swear to Mesra... I'm going to get some DNA here."
"THIS TIME I'LL DO IT!"
add a few deaths in between each of these idiotic statements, and then add some more. yeah, I've been clinically stupid.

lol!!!
I was out sampling on Endor in my boxers. I had just gotten sampling 2, and figured I was the BMOC. Low and behold a Blurrg Raptor was watching me sample some Arachne Drones. He stood there mocking me, pleading me to try my needle on him. A quick examine revealed so-so resists, but hey what's this medium armor stuff? Mask scent, sneak sneak sneak... mask scent broken, BAM! A trip to the cloning center. Hmmmmm. Have to be a little more careful. Sneak sneak sneak again, BAM! Another free trip to the cloning center. Over and over and over and over. There was a guy getting missions who saw me in my boxers run out of the cloning center over and over again, with about about 15 seconds between clonings. After the 8th or 9th time, he asked if I was bugged or something. I said, no, I don't think so. And ran back to my doom in true Disney lemming style. This lasted for about an hour before I saw a Merek Deaths Head. The MDH was even better. Poisoned, Diseased, and slain all in one hit! Marvelous creatures.
