Thread: Need BE Pet advice please

Hello,
I'd like to have some information about the BEproducts I don't know at all.
Basicly I'm rifleman and I need a good pet to tank my heavy targets (NS, SMC, Mokks/Janthas and so on). I'm going to pick up CH 4111 in order to tame grauls. I was thinking that the 50% resistent in kinetic should be fine for my targets but I talked with a guy that suggested to me to buy a good BE pet.
So I'm here. I'm on the Flurry server and I need to know which kind of pet can I call with MaxLevelPet=30. Where are the BE's vendors on Flurry? What else should I need for a BE pet?

Much of this depends on the BE you find and their knowledge and diligence, but you have a lot of options. CL30 is not too restrictive, you can easily get a pet with around 10k/8k/6k HAM, 60% kinetic resists, light armor, and two specials of your choice. If you wanted to make it more specialized, such as add some Energy resists or high Blast & Stun for the Nightsisters, then it'll be a little more workbut certainly doable.
BE is nothing if not compromise, so think about what important characteristics you'd like in this creature and what you're willing to work with. Let the BE know all this and you'll both be happy with the result. Hope this helps.

50% kinetic wont cut it. All NPCs now use weapons and most of them aren't kinetic. To have an effective pet against a high level NPC you will need blanket resists (at least 1%) and light armour, which will be very costly indeed towards the final CL. My advice for you is to either use those extra SP and invest in either TKA / fencer defence mods or be aware that most mid range CH pets will not be able to stand up against them.
NB: Grauls are minimum level 35, therefore with your skill points allocation you wont be able to tame or use them.
NB2: All vendors can be located either on your trade forum, galaxy map or in the thread marked "New and Improved Bio-Engineer vendor list"

Using seething bol crusher dna you can make creatures with 45-60% (cant remember) energy and kinetic resist, 80 blast resist, and 100 stun resist, which if you see an NS elder with a stun baton, might be useful.
For fun I made some cl 30-34 bearded jax's with 10k/9/8k ham, med. disease/dizzy, (the above resistances and some others, i think heat and electricity was around 20-30%, again I am at work so don't have the figures). They don't have armor i don't think. But that was easy to make with just 5 bol crusher dna samples put into the template and psychology, prowess, and physique experimented on.
I am new to BE, so I am sure people can make better things too.

Something a bit higher level; check out Insane Mantigrue Berserker DNA. 100% resists to blast & stun, 50% kinetic & energy. 1st gen, low 50s with light armor, low 40s without.

Nope, I'm sure there is a level 30 Graul on dantooine with 50% kinetic resist as I had 2 of them with my main character (Porthos was the name and it was to bad that soe will not allow us to save pets when surrendering the CH prof). Thanks, will use the map for the BE vendors.
I can't take tka/fencer or other profession as this character for SP problems of course. I have too many SP into Crafting/Cantina/Scout professions because I have to do a lot of stuffs for city/guild/friends. I'm mainly a hunter with the rifle that needs a good tank to be safe on heavy targets other than the low level animals I hunt. For example if I'm on Lok hunting Gurks I'm fine, also unbuffed. But if I see a kimo why not taking it for a decent loot? So with conceal shot and a good pet tank in the event of bleed-hit I'll be fine. NS is another example.

True but the BE clone for Grauls is CL35. I assume when he said he was going to get some grauls he meant BE clones. If he didnt what was the point coming to the BE forum and telling us

Ok, my fault. You won! I apologize. 
I was thinking at wild Grauls not BE's one. It's hard for me find some +5 MaxLevelPet as I need 7 more SP and dunno what to surrender ... So level 35 will be to high for me.
There are NSs and NSs. I'm not thinking to have a pet that can tank a NS elder ... I was thinking at the rangers, protectors sentinels or other MSC that haven't uber energy resist.

Regardless of what's good for Nightsisters your original question still is valid - what can you get for a CL30 pet. Check out the Perfect Pet thread as well as the old Recipes thread for some ideas.
