It's the damage equation that is wrong on that end. Copied from your BE tool help file and working out power to get 17 you need 154 and to get 128 you need 113. So well...had to chose one or the other and 113 is smaller than 154 but really we should take a look at all the predictive equations again and get that sorted. I can do that fairly easily although unfortunately I'd not been recording the stats of the final deed on my spreadsheet thinking those equations were ok....

If you can just use 113 for now, then 'fix' the display for the 113 case we can then go back and play with the equations in the program later? I'm very likely going to have a new set of rules at some point anyway and need you to update Just to make you more work of course ....

Yours, Dor

17 might just me some min value? I don't make low CL pets often, but at higher CL damage might be 1 or 2 points off from the final result = perfect.

I'm seeing a bigger difference between predicted levels and actual levels with the new tool version

The lvl70s that I made were pretty consistant. (a few 71s), and the old tool said lvl69 or lvl70 depending on the recipe. The new tool is guessing about 66-67 for the levels now

I think I stealth nerfed it - didn't occur to me that people were using it and were used to the old values and able to adjust to them . Nam - sorry - can we have the old constants back do you think?

Changed back. Download the same file again and it'll have the old formula.

Also - if ppl could try and use the very same quality DNA when they craft their DNA template it might predict better. This is my own stupid idea and noone seems to like it, but I still believe in it. Oh yes I do.

1) back to the top! lol

2) thanks nam for the update

EDIT: using the same quality samples doesn't matter imho. the numbers on the samples however... those are really important

So, I recently returned from abroad, and opened my account. MCH/MBE was my main character professions, popped Jedi before pub9 and made my alt into the MCH/MBE.

It's been almost 9 months andlots of Publishessince I played, so everything is pretty new to me again. Good and Bad ....

I came here to start reading about all the changes and wow, there have been lots. I found this thread, and the tool looks like the BE's dream come true (I remember and still have notebooks full of notes, etc)

I downloaded the tool, now all I need is to figure out how to use it. It opens up and thats about all I can do with it /slapSelf
I did read here in a few posts about running it along with swg. Is this what I must do to get DNA stats into the program?

If someone can give me a link to a Help file, or anything that I can read about how the tools works, that would be great!

Thanks,

/D

I had a help page up, but 5 minutes after I put out the first version I started getting requests for new functions and one week later nothing looked like it used to Then came the harddrive crash and I had to rewrite it from scratch = yet another change. And I'm to lazy to write a new help file

Will put some info in the first post now tho.

If I give you more money on bloodfin, will you make my name even BIGGER on the first page???? Honestly - it took a lot of work for you to write this thing (TWICE) and you really need one (or several) pats on the back for it as well

If you get the sample data file that nam's provided (see the firstpage again)... then on the tool select 'load' ... well it should be fairly obvious. It doesn't integrate THAT much into swg tho If you run swg in windowed mode then the tool can float on top of it so you can see the numbers as you type them into the tool (or text file you are using or whatever)...
