Based on your professions listed in your sig, this might be your first crafting profession. That also makes sense given your inability to find what you were looking for within the swgcraft site.
I suggest you read the sticky posts at the top of this forum. Most of the information you seek is in there (or at least the information you will need in order to begin to make proper use of swgcraft).

swgcraft has its uses...
the search function is great. change it to type organic, and set the OQ to 50, pe 30, fl to 20...and arrange by rating
The higher the ratin, the better the resource for tissues...of course only meat can be used in the meat slot, and only non structural flora can be used in the flora food slot...
The improtant thing to notice is that thats a search of ALL organics...not the ones in spawn, so it can be difficult to see hwat to harvest. For the ones in spawn, create filters to see if anything is better than, say, OQ800 / PE800 / FL 500.
Also...just rememebr that the DB of resources is only as good as the people who update it...if you are able to update res, please do. (Although it is difficult for certain chars to do this)

I know you didn't mean this but I'll correct you anyway - click on the 'only available' checkbox to the get ones in spawn of course

yes...you can do that, but I meant create filters so in the future when u come back, you can check to see if anything is of a certain quality etc...for example you have Meat with 900/800/700 stats. You could set a filter up for those stats, and the filter would show in spawn resources above those stats if they exist...ie if a better meat had spawned.
I find its a bit easier to keep a nice set of filters, than to have to create a new search everytime u want to check...even tho Dor is correct saying it's possible to do it that way.
