Thread: mask Scent Strangeness

I keep getting attack even with my mask scent up and before I try to sample - my mask scent is still up as I get scouting xp as i'm running away from my attacker - has anyone else had this?

Also on the same creature I got the message - you cannot sample from this target - it was a veermok ravanger, only CL 15 - I've sampled much bigger things with no trouble at all

I think those are considered more NPC then Creature... it would explian why you could not sample and it aggroed with maskscent up...

I think some mamen and thunes are like that.. Like I cant harvest the aggro thune... no clue why, but thats the way it is...

How to tell the difference between NPCs and creatures? You can sample Hide/Bone/Meat from creatures and cannot from NPCs. Veermok are creatures. But I also think there is an intelligence factor built into all life forms in the game which goes to determin how well you are covered. But that is also supposed to break mask so I think you may have encountered a bug there.
