is not easy. I've given up on non-CH pets, as every attempt has yielded a CL 11-13, or is so underpowered at CL 8 that nobody wants it.
I don't know if this is feasible, but I'd like to see something like this...
We experiment the DNA template, which is labelled witha CL showing us the general power of the template.
Then, upon assembling the clone, we're shown the combined CL of the template and the skin. At this point, we're given the option to dial some of the template's stats downward, in order to achieve a lower CL. We should always have the option to cancel assembly and start over with another template, if the results with an existing template are undesirable.
It would certainly simplify the process of creating a clone with a specific CL target, though frankly I don't know how complex it would be to implement something like this.
