I posted earlier about how I'm a MBE via holocron, so earning the title was pretty much all I was concerned with. Once I'd gained the title I was going to drop it and move on to the next holo-torture, but since I had the skills I figured why not see what its all about? I thought "Making the creaturesis pretty cool and stalking mutant rancors for their DNA is way more fun than taking pot shots at them.. but i'll never mess with that tissue crap...".
Well now I want to mess with that tissue crap lol! From what I've read getting +17 in some tissues is fairly common (depending on your ingridients) but I'm having a rough time getting past +6/+6. Let me give some details: the project is confidence cloth, the ingridients are fungi (982 overall, 907 potential energy.. flavor is very low around 34.. wondering if THATS the culprit..) Herbivore meat (around 800 for quality and energy, 500 for flavor) and creature food (I think) (using carnivore meat, averages for all in the 800's) I have a 43 chem/food crafting station and im using a standard crafter. On average I usually get the "great results" message before I do the experimenting which starts me off at +2/+2 and with experimenting the farthest I've been able to get is +6/+6. Am I missing something very basic or am I doing something wrong? Any advice would make this BE very grateful!

hello,
there are 2 of each type of mod.
1 is low end and only goes so high- +10 ( in some cases) and use's less resources
1 is High end and caps around +20 and use's more resources.
look in the descriptions and find the Confidence Cloth's twin in Stat Mod's and you'll see it uses more ( and/or Rare ) resources.
Your getting Great results using the High OQ/PE/Flavor resources on the "Low-End" stat mod.

p.s.- and yes the low "flavor" is ruining the Balance of the other Qualities

Also, easiest way for me to tell which are the advanced and which are the low-end tissues are to check the number of resources needed. The high end ones all take 4 different ingredients and the low-end all take 3 different ingredients (pretty sure it applies to all, someone feel free to correct me.) Of course, to get access to the higher level schematics you need your personal crafting station. Good luck with the tissues.
