Would be nice to not have a part-time correspondant I have to admit.

Yes, but the job of the correspondent dictates that they actually be a show up and post in their aligned forum. I understand needing a break, but if the job is too much then they need to pass the torch along to someone else for a while.

Personally I think its time for a new correspondant, Talth has done a pretty good job in the past but I think its time for him to step aside and give someone else a go, its obvious from his lack of posting on important issues that he is either too busy IRL or he doesnt care about us anymore - either way we need a dedicated correspondant who will be there when we need him and will answer the questions we all want to know the answers to.
In the last publish many important questions came up regarding the experimentation changes, which talth should have been there to answer, but he wasnt and we nearly had an entire line of our profession gated because we didnt get a chance to have our say.

Talk about a tough job! If I were SOE, I'd implement a mandatory retirement age for correspondents (3 or 4 months?) ALONG WITH a solid transition plan. In my experience, it's the second part that's tricky for organizations. The demands on a good correspondent basically assure burn-out; I think it's best if some R&R for the cors is programmed into the system (plus it gives some other voices a chance to experience the role).

I have no problem with the correspondents taking a break. It would have been nice to post a "hey I'm going on a break" instead of just disappearing, especially right before a large patch.
