Thread: Has it been determined what the 'ferocity' stat does yet?

fierceness, ferocity, is this something that pertains to pets? There are rumors regarding wild animals and detection etc, but is this stat something that we BE's can ignore?

i dont know but i assume it determines how close you can get before it gets pissed at you and comes to eat you without using mask scent. it may also determine how effective mask scent is against that creature. i would bet though it is totally useless in terms of pets.

LOL i believe it is directly correlated to how fast the pet runs.

Like, a ferocity 9 pet will attack a kreetle and will run 9 times faster than a ferocity 0. Or is that it will autostore 9 times faster, or is it that it is 9 times more stupid not sure.

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

Has anyone figured out what ferocity does? Is the fierceness stat something we BE's can ignore?

It was stated by Greenmarine (dev) a long time ago that ferocity increases the radius a creature will aggro you.

I would agree with the tendancy to stand and fight based on my own observations, however that could be my own bias since I do not see it very often.

It also seemed to affect the chances of Warning Shot working to me. I did not use it much and there may have been other factors involved, so don't hold me to that, please.

I only wish my ferocity 9 graul mauler ran fast when it ran. It is pretty useless when it runs it takes a whooping.

How exactly it effects BE's I'm not sure, but.. it seems that Ferocity effects a few things. It seems to effect the likelyhood of the creature running away at low health. It also seems to effect the likelyhood that an agressive creature will agro you as you get closer to them.

Whether what I said is true or not I cant say for sure, since its not been confirmed by any DEV. However, in my own hunting exerience it seems to be how it works.
