I have been working to create some specific "team" level (CL 35) pets for s customer, and I am trying to get a ranged attack with the combination of specials that I want for this creature. I am pretty adept at getting the level and quite decent stats (my CL 35's average 10K across the HAMS, 60% Kinetic, light armor and decent damage/speed/to-hit levels, and generally I can get the two specials I want with a bit of work. Ranged attacks, especially with any real consistancy, seem to elude me far too often.
I'm looking for any pointers on getting, or more importantly, HOLDING a ranged attack in second generation creatures, as I seem to lose it all too often, and an otherwise "bullseye" pet misses the mark for the ranged attack.
I did hit a 10500/10300/9900 HAM, AR1, 60% Kinetic, 20% Energy, 270 damage at .55 to hit, 2.06 speed with Knockdown, Dizzy and Ranged last night. CL 36
Any tips on ranged attacks? I have CL 10 and 11 creatures with ranged, but getting it to stick for CL 35's is killing me.

I get ranged attacks when Agression is 25 or over. Not scientific though, just seat of the pants testing.

Ah, that makes sense...was making creatures from voritors on dant last night, fully experimented everything bar aggression and their ranged disappeared, haven't tried it the other way around yet.
which slots affect what stats? Also how can I get a pet to get AR1? Do I have to use specific DNA? I've been using high quality and maxing physique to no avail ![]()

Fortitude above 500 means armor. For the rest, it is far too complex to answer every post, but VERY well covered in the FAQ.
