I'm new to crafting, but I thought that the crafting stations that you put into your home were the same as the ones you would find in the cities, just more private. They certainly look the same.

just wondering, cuz I'm having a little trouble tracking one down for purchase.

They may look that way but they are not. the private stations alow some higher end schematics to be made.
Another option if you cant find a arcitect to make a private station for you is get a droid with the food crfting station module in it. (yes I had to get a plug in for droid usefullness) The down side of this is you have to feed it battries everynow and again. The up side is you can do crafting just like at home anywhere.

Yeah, I went and bought myself a droid, the thing is after an hour of running around checking droid shops and looking through listings on the bazzaar using the Galaxy-wide option I still wasn't able to find any batteries.

Guess it's time to pick up a few lines of Engineering in the artisan skill tree.

yah. or check some of the more "random stuff" shops. I've seen on Intrepid some vendors that arnt register with the map that have nothing but crates of battries on em. I do alot of pokeing around though. theres also the find your local artisan and bug em.

oh yah. what catigory were you looking under? I took me foever to find em when I firt tried. They are sorted under "Misc" no subcatigory. Of course this makes em harder to find. But, I doubt anything will happen with that anytime soon. :/
