Okay..when i was fs-chasing doing BE, I made myself some critters for when I fs-chased CH. I actually kept BE much longer than intended, making stuff for myself and friends.

Anyway, I made myself a nice little lvl 45 Narglatch for when I was done the bulk of CH grind and wanting to just have some fun with it.

I was unable to call my lvl 45 until I was Master CH. When my master CH friend tamed it for me (she incubated it for me), it did not give her any kind of invalid pet message.

every taming box I trained, i said..okay...*now* I'll be able to pull it. But nope..not until I was master.

Not sure exactly of stats atm,but I know she's 60 KR...probably 58 Energy Res. (not positive on that though), at least 12k hams, ranged, blind and cripple strikes. Wish i knew damage for sure..but I don't. I'm going to say 400-500. No clue as to ferocity.

Anyone know for sure what affects the call?

its based on the CL and if the pet is in an agressive skin which the narglatch is.

if your pet was in a different skin like the gurreck or what not you can call that CL fine without having MCH. but because it is an agressive you needed MCH.

You need to be a MCH to call a lvl 45 Narglatch? That does not sound right. Meaning...you do not have to be a Master to call an aggressive pet...so what was it about my pet that makes it uncallable?

no i mean if your pet was not in a narglatch skin you would be able to call it fine.

but since it is in a narglatch skin (which is aggressive) you needed more taming vicious creature skill. if you had BE clothing that gave you a bonus to taming wild/vicious creatures you prolly should have been able to call your narglatch before you hit master.

nods..I understand what you're saying...but it seems like I should've been able to call it sooner...not even at 4444 could I call it. I can't seem to find a definitive answer on the CH boards except...just 'try to tame it..if you can't you can't'

this isnt a very good example... but if i compared your narglatch with something in the wild, it would be equivalent to a rancor youth. now if they could spawn babies, i doubt that youd see non masters sporting those around.

forgot to add...

the way i see it (dont quote me because its only my theory so i could be totally wrong), at master:

taming wild creatures: +50 skill bonus

taming vicious creatures +50 skill bonus

each point i believe represents the creature level so max level you can tame a vicious creature is at CL50 whereas at 4/4/4/4 it would only be 35.

with taming cloths (pretty sad that i dont know this but lets say it is +15) youd be able to tame at a master level.

At master the Tame Wild bonus is +90 now, just so you know.

I would think you should have been able to pull it at 4-x-x-x if it was only CL 45. There is some weirdness with the 15% chance to tame/control check though, so you might have been running in to that. It could have been something else, but it sounds like a bug regardless.

As said above, if you had BE clothes, you should have been able to pull it out no problem.
