Ok, here's the deal. Top 5 needs to go in on Friday (though I suspect that since you're corre-less you'll get an extended deadline). Someone needs to get the ball rolling. I'm new to BE and specialize only in tailoring tissues, so I can't "pinch hit" for this forum, as much as I'd like to. But you already have a top 5 thread with votes sticked above.
Community leaders- you know who you are - it's up to you to organize this and agree on a top 5.
Read the top 5 voting thread. Pick what you think to be the top 5 based on all you know about the community. Narrow it down. And when that thread starts, I'll do my part and stickie it (PM me, please).
If your corre comes back, fine. If you get a new one, fine. Either way, don't let the profession stagnate and be the ignored stepchild of the top 5 process.

Hi, we already have 2 Top 5 threads going - one based on the old top 5 from the sticky at the top of the page (this is prepatch so a lot of us may have reprioritsed our isses) and the second one is trying to get an idea of people's new top 5.

I stickied up the new top 5 list on it that I saw to have more votes than the other (yeah, that's how I picked). Please direct your top 5 votes etc to that thread.

I compiled the "top 5" list thread, and here are the results (and some additional elaboration that I added):
1) Documentation:
we need to have some documentation on the cloning process. Of particular interest is the CL guidelines for CL 10 pets, but the whole process needs to be documented.
2) CL issues when crafting pets:
The CL needs to be a visible during experimentation on the template, and updated real-time. Also having a way to adjust the CL down during the crafting process (like doctors do) would be desirable.
3) DNA storage:
Since DNA doesn't stack and since we need a lot of it, there needs to be some reasonable way we can store large quantities of dna.
4) Additional Creature Skins:
There are many creature skins in the game that we cannot craft including snake and flying creatures which are of particular interest.
5) Additional Customization of Creatures
The colors we can choose on creatures are very limited and often don't transfer properly to the final creature. Also we'd like the ability do modify additional attributes of the creature including its size.
Other popular requests not making the "cut":
BE specific looted items including skill tapes
More availability of creature resources (meat, fish, egg in particular)
Ability to sample creatures over CL 75
Ability to harvest resources from corpses we kill during sampling
Reduction in critical failures during experimentation, and not losing the dna samples
More tailor tissue selections
Have the creature creator visible on pets once called like on all other crafted items

I think we need to have a new round of opinions before we compile our list as the old top 5 list was posted long before the recent patch.
I also think we should concentrate on real issues rather than wishlist items such as which new skins and colours we'd like.
We have important issues that need addressing before we start asking for new content - if we focus on giveing them a wishlist they might get the impression that we're working ok and are generally happy - which considering the recent validation checks - we are not.

very well said, NancyJ.......
as much as i'd like a rasp skin or a crystal snake to guard my house while i'm away, i would much rather craft a pet that will be usable and not have to be appropriated first

I'd love to see pet sizes adjustable, I love the thought of having a tiny kimo or something in my house, or better yet, tiny kima's (the little furry critters) on my bookshelves.
