Thread: Doctor/TKA needs skill up advise...

Subject kind of answers the question. I have read the FAQ, and I know that +25 is the cap. Here's my three questions:
1. How big of a boost can a single tape give me? Is getting +25 in one tape possible?
2. Is wound treatment/injury treatment provided with a single tape?
3. Is there an unarmed damage tape? I heard a guy saying he had a +25 unarmed damage mod.
Thanks! (I have an ubese shirt with 3 slots that I would LOVE to put medical crafting, wound treatment, and unarmed damage on.)
Don't know why you asked this here ![]()
But let me elaborate.
1. some +25 tapes exist in game, but they are very rare now, Seems biggest you can find anymore is about+10 and those go for millions
2. Injury/Wound treatment applies to BE's b/c we can make tissues which are sewn into cloth which is used ian a shirt. But it has to be made that way, it can't be added later. I don't think any tapes exist to do this, if they do we could meet the cap anyways and the tapewould be useless.
3. There is an unarmed damage SEA. It should work, and does cap at +25, like any other mod

Sounds like you have a lot of misconceptions.
1. Bio engineers don't make skill tapes or armor attachments. We make tissues that go into clothing, not armor.
2. Skill tapes and armor attachments are different things. You can't put a tape into armor.
3. Although there may be +25 tapes, or there may be injury and wound treatment on a single tape, or on a single armor attachment, it's kind of irrelevent since it's not like you can just go to a store and buy them. You are constrained by what you can loot yourself, and what others want to sell.
4. What I think you may want, is a shirt that goes under your armor. If you get one of these, yes, it is possible to get +25 injury & wound treatment on a single shirt. No you cannot get any unarmed stuff on said shirt however.

Yeah, my bad there, I really misunderstood how this works. Okay, so BE's make tissue which can be crafted into garments. I actually found a shop selling +25 Injury Treatment / +25 Wound Treatment pants for 35K. Don't know if that was a good price or not, but since I went from 1885 enhances to 2121, I'm very happy!
Now, if I understand what you're saying correctly, the skill tapes are looted, not crafted, correct? I thought they were made, so that straightens me out. Now, what on earth is SEA? I was guessing Skill Enhancement Attachment--am I right? Meaning I can find clothing and armor attachments with Unarmed Damage, but I'm not going to see crafted versions? If I read the FAQ right, it looks like it's not in those 8 categories.
I saw an apron with +5 Medical Assembly/Experimentation--now is that an apron with a +5 skill tape in it, or an item crafted with BE tissue?
Thanks!
the +5 medical experimentaion apron is a new item made by tailors using a schematic for from the jabbas palace theme park (you get it for sompleting the last mission for the chef (kill the Meat Beast (named Dewback)) - the schematic you get is random and a master tailor has to 'learn' the schematic before they know which one it is - there are schematics for tailor, architect, chef and medic (tailor being the most common and most useless of the schematics and medic being the rarest and most valuable)
Although you cant get unarmed damage BE onto your clothes you can get Intimidate/Warcry bonuses. However these can only be used as single tisses in clothing so its not possible to reach the +25 cap in 1 item of clothing (highest you'll find is around +18 or 19)
These enhancements can be added to bandoliers if you want to wear it with armour (though you cant wear a backpack and a bandolier at the same time)
Okay thanks for all the help! I met an ingame BE/Tailor and she has the apron schematic, so I'll probably get that down the road, and start hunting for +med exp tapes then, I heard they are going to be REALLY rare, especially large ones. Same goes for Unarmed Damage, but those are really all that I need to focus on aquiring for SEAs, I'm happy with the rest of my gear (cept my ubese needs sliced badly.)
Thanks for all the help, sorry for my lack of understanding!
