Sorryif I'm covering old ground, wanted advice from you guys on what you thought the demand would be for +89 BSN tissues.

Made a full factory run, but wasn't sure whether to charge our chef friends the earth, or just add a little supplement to the price of +85's.

Didn't see much point asking chef's, as wanted an unbiased opinion.

The Tissues were made with vet reward meat, all statsaround 990 and fungus, all stats over 960.

PS I'm on FarStar, and usually charge 25k a crate (1 million for a factory run) for +85/86 BSN's.

You're opinions or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I usually charge 1.98M for a run of 86/87 BSNs....thats 50 CPU meat 3 CPU florals and 800k BE fee. For 89 though...thats a one time shot, I think you'd be better off putting that up for auction on your trade forum, start at like 2M with a 10M buyout. Thats some really, really good stuff

One of the things to rememebr is that you could conceivable have sold your vet reward.

You need to factor in this cost in your price.

I'd suggest auction like the other are suggesting.

I get 1.5mil for 86s, 1.7mil for 87s and 2mil for 88s - so for an 89 I'd charge 2.5mil at least, on Intrepid.

Since I assume you used your vet reward to make those - the value of that reward on Intrepid is 6mil atm - which would mean that factory run would be worth 4-5mil if I sold them. That sorta makes them unsellable actually, since most Chefs are such cheapskates. hehe

I'd auction em off, as suggested above, with a min bid of 2mil, no buyout. Good Luck!

I suppose if you want interesting work crafting, you don't go into Chef ... you go into it for the credits. I wonder what the best profession for crafting for crafting's sake is (besides pet crafting)?

I would like to know what you eventually do sell them for. +89 should go for a hyperbolic increment over +88, since they are nearly impossible to make. +87 is hard enough.

And BE is definitely the best crafting profession for crafting's sake.

Second to BE is probably tailor or architect, but I'd go with tailor, since it allows you a broad leeway for taste and personal preferences. Architect is interesting only in that it is a logistical nightmare, trying to get components together, and enough of any one resource for the target. It's also the only profession that allows any sort of recovery from critical failures that I know.

I had a critical failure on the last generation of a multigeneration pet recently. I missed out on several guild activities trying to finish the pet. In one click, many hours of work were gone with nothing at all to show for it. I didn't even have any DNA left over. I have to go start sampling again.

I'm a Chef on FarStar, and where I usually get my additives (at Lilon/AEN), she charged 1,6 mil for 40 crates of 87, 1,5 mil for 86, and something way lower for 85.

A lot depends on the price of meat on your server. I sold my last BSN's at 1.8M for +86, but used up meat I that is now going for 100 cpu. I used the best meat I had and the best flora that has been on my server in several months. (INNs with that meat hit 117, and MNS hit 57, but for some reason, I couldn't hit 87 on the BSNs.) Since there are 20K of meat in the tissues, not counting schematic, I think I just lost 200K on the meat alone. I've seen meat on Gorath sold for as much as 300 cpu for a current spawn.

The last several spawns of FAIR meat on Gorath have lasted 2-3 days each. Most of the meat has been junk. I haven't seen very good meat in a long time, except for a few brief spawns of Tatooine avian. Challenge for anyone: try to collect 20K of Tat avian in 2-3 days.

Definately auction that stuff. Unfortunately I rushed into things and grabbed a meat that I thought was the best. Turns out it will only make about 87 or 88 at the absolute highest. I wish I would've asked around to get some 89 quality stuff..

Well I have a lot of experience selling these. I sell these all the time for.... (yea right, lol).

I'm just a little surprised that you'd be selling this to begin with. This is essentially a "trophy product" right? And will likely not be repeatable by you, certainly not in any high volume way. So once it's gone, it's gone. And as others have pointed out, you could have sold your vet reward for, what is the going rate? 10mil or something? If the goal was just to pad your bank account. What I would probably advise is getting together with a friendly chef, and working out some kind of arrangement to jointly create some "trophy food products", hopefully made using also the chef's veteran reward(s). Trade him your tissues for some extra-special vercupti or whatever, and that way you'll both have something lasting and special. You might even consider waiting until after the CU to do something like that though, because we simply don't know what kind of ramifications that is going to have (and I mean that, I'm not being elusive).

I still haven't decided what I'm going to do with my 30k of fish yet. Obviously I'll make a batch of "trophy stim-d's", but then what to do with that stuff? Hmm. Perhaps distribute it in tiny quantities over time to my best and favorite customers. Something along those lines. You certainly won't be seeing some big "full run of stim-d's" auction from me though

Personally, I would split them up and ask a Chef to make you some food for you. If you auction them and get less than about 2.5m then you're effectively at a loss. I'd keep it as a trophy. I'm sure that all of us who got fish meat will have a crafting competition to see who has the highest quality stims. I got 999 OQ dant fiberplast and the best Farstar fish meat. Now I just gotta find a doc

First congrats on the +89. I finally hit the +88 mark. Without trading in my 30k. I did it with resources that I had beenhoarding forever. I plan on donating a couple to the museums (if they want them). Most likely a BE will only understand how nice a +89 is. Hehe and I thought I was special making the +88's. I made them as trophies.
