Not that anyone knew I was missing or anything.

It's funny. I take a couple of months off and I start playing again this past weekend. I start refilling my vendor and then I notice that another BE has set up shop near me. I go and check out the competition's vendor and low and behold there's some great pets and pet stims there. At first I was like "Crap, now I have to make pets and stims just as good or better." I now have to dig out all my old recipes, but the thing that sucks is I think I misplaced some of them. Oh well. In the long run the competition will make me a better BE, since I have to make better pets and stims. But this other BE has his/her pets on sale for too much, imo. I mean the other BE has prices for pets that are ridiculous. When I was very active, I never made pets that expensive. I dunno, maybe I've been out of touch with the game the last few months and the prices went up. I understand that making some pets require good DNA and sometimes several generations to create a good pet. But once you get a recipe down, it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg to create a pet. Personally, I feel that BE's need to stick together. So I wouldn't want to break the new pet pricing on Kauri - if there is one. If anyone has any light on the pricing on Kauri now (for pets, stims, etc..), then please post what you know. Otherwise I might have to under cut the other BE, which I don't really want to do. I'll take a look around at what other BE's are pricing as well. Maybe that will give me a new perspective on the pricing of things. I don't want to start a pricing war, but I feel that a 100 -120k pet is too much, even with good stats on it. For the same type of pet, I would charge probably 70 - 80k. What do you guys think? Should I stick with the other BE's pricing or should I under cut them?

Oh yeah, it's good to be back playing again. I just got burnt out and had to take a break. But now I'm back!!

Before you start worrying about those prices check out this thread I started just a few days ago...

Welcome back. Depending on how long you've been away, you may be surprised at how inflation has crept in across the Galaxy (just wait till you try to buy some HQ meat).

In terms of prices I like to stay on the cheap side, charging for the time it takes to make the pet adjusted with either the difficulty or ease of getting the DNA. Ask how much can your customer make in the hour it took me to create the creature? Furthermore overcharging only forces the buyer to overcharge for their services to other players and ripple through the economy.

The only downside to staying on the cheap is the reselling of your creations and the disposable attitude towards your time. I've sold a lot of nice low-level pets to beginner CH's for very little money, unfortunately some have grown up and expect to be supplied at whim - a flavor-of-the-week pet attitude sorta.

CH pet sales for me have been very very very low. I even abandoned one vendor because sales were so low. I've been trying to sell good pets for 50-60k with very few sales. I was thinking of making some very simple pets and throwing them on the vendor for 30k or so just to see if I could get some interest going. Overall I would look at the speed at which your competition is selling.

Non-CH pets are another matter altogether. The classic VD-NS recipe is a solid seller at 20k for banthas, cu-pas, and cats. The occasional green dewback sells as well.

Don't know about stims. Haven't been selling them at all. Vit packs still sell pretty good though.

And welcome back.

The non-ch pets, especially the 10k Health, 50-60% kin ones sell very well..almost too well And as for CH pets, Ive seen an increase in demand over the past few weeks, almost as if people think CH will be FOTM after the CURB...I don't keep a pet vendor, and have stopped selling any form of tissues recently because of burnout, so I only deal in mail order pets, and even then, I pick my orders, but in general, there seem to be an increase in pet demand.

Chef Tissues are unprofitable.
Tailor Tissues are a good little business.
Overpowered (and they are overpowered) 60%/45% kin/blast cl10 pets are FOTM with prices as high as 2m.
Can't comment on CH pets, although if you keep your prices reasonable you should get some attention.
Pet stims / vit packs will always be popular, many BEs are using their 30k resource veteran reward on fish meat.
