Thread: Talthazar little help with the Milk and other rare resources we need please.
I am not sure if anyone has asked our correspondent for help with this so I will. All of us BE's need it so why is it so rare to find? Can you talk to a dev about this matter or if you already have let us know what's up and if you already have let us know what's up can someone point me in the right direction so I can read it and make more questions that have probably already been asked. Thanks for your patients.

Milk is rare. It should be left that way.
Getting a stack of 25 is not impossible, but does take time. Everytime you enter a starport or city, yell you are buying milk any quantity. You will eventually get enough.

I can understand Krayt Pearls being rare...but milk!? How do all these people get enough calcium in their diets? It smells like a bug...obviously the person who wrote the BE schematics didn't talk to the people who made resources appears. And don't get me started on mollusks...

If it was only used in the creature taming tissues I would agree with you, but milk is needed for quite a few items, many of which NEED to be mass produced to have any value in game.
I'll reiterate my stance that all creature harvests and lair harvests need to have a machine harvesting alternative in the game. I can pull up 1,000,000+ of any resource which a machine can extract. I am lucky to 100k of a meat/hide/bone if I am willing to spend 1,000,000+ in credits (actually closer to 2million with prevailing rates on high quality meats). That is a huge disparity. It is even larger when considering fish, egg, or milk. Getting even a 1k stack of any of those three is a taxing chore.
The scouts/rangers are gonna cry foul to my suggestion without considering the manner in which I would implement it. These bio-harvesters would be scout/ranger crafted and disposable (one time use with no redeed ability). They'd require a hefty amount of resources to produce (including the SPECIFIC resource that would be harvested). Sprinkle them up the trapping line. This should allow scouts/rangers to have a viable product for sale *if* the rates on them doesn't exceed what the average scout/ranger of that level would produce. Small bioharvester in the Scout Trapping IV box would pull 10k of a resource over 1 week. Medium bioharvesters in the Ranger Trapping III box would pull 25k of a resource over a 1 week. Heavy bioharvesters in the Master Ranger box would pull 50k of a resource over 1 week. Fiddle and adjust the extraction rates / skill box requirements how you see fit.

WOW!! 25, really? **edit**, I can make one whole item with that!! Taduc, hmmm.. I'm speechless or just don't want to be kicked from the boards with what I would say about that comment. it's the latter, I believe.
angel.
16 units of milk
11 mollusc
95 Horn
Not even enough milk to make one tissue, ands certainly not enough tfor my chef to make Bantha butter.
Thast 3 days of camping a spot with some pretty nasty mobs in.
If milk was purely for 1 or 2 high-level items, then I could accept it, but a chef alone uses milk in about 20% of it's items.
Not only that, but the "rare" resources for every other craft appear in much larger amounts, I could see the uproar if Link-Steel aluminium appeared in amounts of 15.
Milk should not be rarer than Krayt Tissues & Holocrons :/
Fatgit, I think I know the spot you're talking about. My ranger with that planet's conceal camoflage was just fine sitting there waiting for the hour or so I could bear it for. But then a tailor popped in after logging on at that spot and was almost immediately jumped on by a good 8+ mobs right next to me. I swear, it's one of the stupidest ways of getting a resource into the game. I was standing in the spot between the two static spawn points for the loot along with a couple other people. Bam, something appeared in the window and we all just grabbed what we could. I ended up with the lucky lottery win of 14 cr@ppy bones...yay...
It's ridiculous and shouldn't be this way. If the argument is that milk is used to make tissues that should be rare then fine, change these "rare"recipes to needing a half dozen krayt tissues or peko peko feathers or something. At least that would make sense. But are they really saying that the galactic 7-11s in SW don't carry this stuff in little cardboard cartons? I don't think so... As of right now, who in their right mind would take their precious stack of 20 or 25 milk and make a chef buff out of it? I'd have a MBE make a clothing tissue out of it. Sheesh...
Part of the lack of milk is also due to the pumbam nerf a few months back. I could udually loot one out of evey five pumams for 1-3 units of milk. Too bad they had to get rid of one of the most challenging, fun, and rewarding (great ch or regular xp, milk loot and 25k mission payouts) mobs to hunt in the game.![]()
