The one with the targetOutward and follow,

Does it give much xp?

Does not using a macro give more xp at early level?

Thanks

the macro is ok ifyou wanna just go in and out of the room, watch TV or somethin while you sample. I wouldnt leave it on overnight and expect much, though

I tried it when I started BE - it was very boring.

I then just pulled missions and went out and sampled stuff to death, much more fun if you have a combat skill to keep you alive when the beastie gets annoyed at the needle poking

I found sampling stuff on missions much more fun, and I also ran to and from most of them and sampled everything semi-decent that I met along the way.

The macro works... but it's a bit like cheap burgers... you can live off it, but it tastes likesh** *grins*

I've found that particular macro works best if you stay at the keyboard while orienting your character for the first two boxes of sampling. If you try to use it AFK, you'll usually end up with a full inventory chasing a stormtrooper after about 10 minutes. Due to high failure rates early on, it helps out with the low levels a lot (in terms of ease on your hands.)

After that, it's far more effective to go out and sample spawns from missions. I did Sampling III and IV in a few hours by heading to Lok and sampling Gurks, then heading to Endor and Sampling Blurrgs for box IV.

It works great for me. As long as you keep pointed in the right direction.
