Thread: Is there a market for Pet Stims

I had someone ask me to stock Pet Stims on a vendor, normally I only make them for personal use since I don't see a lot of CH around these days.

Does anyone actually sell Pet Stims in volumes that make it worth manufacturing and stocking them?

If so - which ones are worth the bother? I don't want to gather resources and do factory runs of something that'll just take up room in my house or sit on a vendor forever

Normally I'd just have made the stuff and stuck it on a vendor to see what happens, but the lack of CHs about the place and the general 'feel' of the CH forum makes me pause and wonder.

I try to keep one of everything on my vendor. I have one factory run of As and Bs on my vendor right now. They don't move at all. Cs and Ds sell decently. I price em at 3k for Cs and 4k for Ds (PER STIM). Doing the math, my Ds are 1525 per heal with typically 32 uses, so that's 125 credits per heal. Considering that the missions that would actually call for a Stim D pay over 9k and you should be able to do well over 4 missions per stim (so we're talking 36k) the CH is paying 1/9 of his profit into healing his pet. Not too shabby considering it completely relieves them from having to have novice medic (one of my friends is Master Creature Handler/Master Pistoleer and LOVES the stim Ds). Only problem is FIsh is much harder to come by in quantity, so Cs (since the resources can be gathered much easier) are typically what I've seen sold. Make sure you get a Master Doctor to make your components - It makes a HUGE difference (see the stickied thread at the top of the forum). Or you could just do what I did and master doctor AND BE.

The stickied thread at the top of the forum disagreed with that last time I read it and said further tests had shown it made no difference... time for a new thread I think

Thanks for the Stim info though.

Actually, I just do B's for now but plan on some C's soon. I sell them at a set price no matter the power or quantity. I have crates of 25 or 50. They sell for 35k and 70k, respectively. I also put them on the bazaar in crates of 5 for 6k. They didn't sell at first, but after a couple weeks on my vendor they started moving, and now they bring in as much as the pets do. (the bazaar ones sell usually the same day) My guess is that some other BE started price gouging and they came to me and have now become regulars. I'm gathering for another big factory run to fill the vendor again, and these will be bigger and better. price will be the same as my old stims too.

The customer comments I get are all worth it. I charge a set rate of 1k per pet level. The beauty is that I've never advertised. My vendor is on the planet map but most of my business has been word of mouth.

Intrepids CH population has ground to just about nothing. I've had 36/1162 Cs on my vendor forever. the only place I can seem to sell them is on the Bazaar at Dantooine Mining. There I can get 4k for good pet stim Cs, but I can't do any volume.

Errr, Intrepid CH population is doing fine according to my sales logs. Hardly a day goes by that 2-4 pets aren't sold and almost every sale is accompanied by a related Pet Stim sale. I have noticed that it goes in cycles though, some weeks being dry and some being insane.

I make and sell C's and D's. This last run was rather large so I still have some in stock but once word gets around, I'll be out with emails asking for more.

Yes making pet stims is a good market. Pet stim B's are the ones you want to make cause they are easy to make resource wise. I sell mineat 670 heal, 6k for a crate of 5. The larger crate sell the most.
