it depends greatly, almost entirely, on what samples you use. That being said, I find the more experimentation points you use, regardless of where they go, the more likely you are to increase the CL. If you're having a problem with a given recipe giving you too high a CL, try only putting a point or two into each line you experiment on. I've also found using consistently higher DNA quality samples gives you a higher CL, and that experimenting on aggression will shoot the CL up moreso than the others since it raises damage, which is very CL sensitive. I find for making non-CH tanks, experimenting on physique and psychology alone will make a nice pet with a minimal chance of firing it up over CL10. As you get more familiar with your recipes, you might try tossing a point into prowess and mental to up their HAM, but start small =)

I have been sampling from stuff right on the edge of town. Like gubbers, Durni, ect.... for my level 10 and lower. Also when you exsperiment dont use more that3 or so experiment points and spead each one over the lowest 3 attributes. Doing this 8 of 10 are ussually lvl 10 for me.

I have been going to Dantooine and harvesting DNA from Voritor Dashers and Huurton Pups. Using these I can get my pets to a 3k/2k/2k HAM and keep them all at CL 10. There is no expermination involved here, just simply throw your DNA together and go!

If you don't experiment though you don't get any kinetic resists. If you put 1 point into physique you get 10%-14% kinetic.

wow, between that guide and all the recipes given here in the forum, and the CL calculation stuff, how much more do you NEED?

The vort/huurton combo is the oldest and most proven high ham CL10 recipe so far. In my opinion, the intelligence needs to be higher or else you get a very lop-sided ham pet. I never touch anything else for fear it will hit CL11, and at master it will hit 11 VERY often.

But, for regular cl-10's I just sample yard trash and experiment only on those ham stats enough to keep them even. If they're in the 80's range I'll get a CL9 or 10. If one of the HAM stats are above 70 I won't touch it, but if it's lower I'll put one point into it. Usually I get ham in the range of 1500 per stat. Also, after I made the template, I use a crappy (very crappy) quality food/chem kit to put it in a skin.

I seem to be holding some sort of record too cause I've made well over 200 pets and never had one declared illegal.
