I went to Endor today to get some samples to make a pet for a friend. He decided he wanted Strong Poison and some other useful special and about CL40, so I immediately thought of Arachne Warriors.
I got buffed, grabbed a box of needles and headed out the door feeling excited.
I loved it. Sneaking around behind the critters, jumping on my bike yelling "Go go go" when they got annoyed at me, wondering how many times I'd get to 'stick' them before they fell over or tried to bite me. Finding the ones you want is a challenge too - hardly like a walk in a petting zoo is it?
About 90 minutes later my pack was full of various Endor samples, the pet was created and then delivered and I sat down in front of my crafting station to play with all the 'spare' samples. I'm now as happy as a Pig in PooDoo experimenting with different mixes to see what I can build.
This sort of trip reminds me why I love being a Bio-Engineer - especially when I'm feeling a bit down after the umpteenth hour of resource hunting to make tissues.
It's just plain fun!
Oh Heck Yeah.
The first Sunday after I mastered BE I spent the ENTIRE day out sampling Rancors and Merricks and anything else I thought would make a good candidate. Before I realized it I had filled up my medium house with DNA samples.... and had them in three droids and a bank box FULL of them too! It's taken me weeks to wade through all that danged DNA. But it's been a hoot! And I LOVE the cloning a pet part too. Just seeing what you can get to come out! My Guild is sick and tired, I am sure, of hearing me type on "Oh COOL... Level 43 Razor cat with......". But, they are good guys and let me ramble on and sometimes, when it's really earned, I get a NICE or a WOW.
But, Yes, It is about the most fun I have had crafting in any game I have played thus far!
